Noone is outraged except for you, my dude. Read the posts, take a few deep breaths before you do, and realize that it was meant to -inform- not -inflame-. He was saying we’re going to have LESS RNG variation going into SLands. Are you actually just…looking to fight everyone that posts on the forums?
I’m not outraged. I’m not the one posting in all caps about how selfish or incompetent blizzard is. I’m not delusional enough to pretend that this game was ever perfect or that if blizzard just “listened to me” millions would subscribe again.
No, we won’t. It will just be different versions of RNG. And RNG will stop driving the clicks once BC or Wrath come out and players realize that hit or expertise exist. Or MoP with things like multi-strike. That set bonuses, like azerite are mostly passive and many are ppm and raid only.
People will have to fine new clickbait to be outraged over.
Is it your goal to just have everyone ignore you? You can drop your hands, I’m not looking for a fight. It -is- going to be less RNG, meaning less throws of the dice to determine what our damage is. This is a -good- thing, noone is angry about this. So let’s take a break, sit back and go get a cuppa? I’m gonna go brew a nice relaxing nighttime brew, you too okay?
No one has to.
Literally every spell or auto will be a dice roll to see the output. It’s impact will be small, but so was BFA’s, so was miss chance or crit, or multi-strike.
I’ll have a good laugh when I see the same people posting in these threads still complaining about mechanics that have always existed.
You’re insane, my dude. Noone is complaining, I’m trying like hell to de-escalate, but you’re amped to 11 on adrenaline or something and just refuse to stop punching a wall. I’m glad less RNG is going into my damage/healing in SLands, and whether you want to admit it or not, there were way too many rolls running in the background for every instance of damage/healing in BfA, and people theorize that it may have been a contributing factor to open world lag. I don’t know what else to say to you, I look forward to your next overly aggressive reply. Toodles.
Deescalate what? It’s actually awkward that you think there is something going on.
You are glad that the RNG of the cloak proc… won’t hinder your performance in SL? I take it you won’t be running any of the ppm leggos, talents, set bonuses, trinkets or conduits…
Stuff like that goes both ways.
I agree and even made my own post about how getting into mythic+s and pvp as a new or returning is almost impossible.
Things like raiderio allow other players to bar new or returning players from their groups. Even if the new or returning player outgears/ knows the mechanics and whatnot.
But on the other hand I can see why such things do exists (I guess?).
It’s not an actual feature that was incorporated by WoW devs. However, it is treated as such and as someone who primarily wants to que arenas, this tool is holding me back because I must do content that I don’t want to do AS WELL AS creating, what I feel to be, the image that i’m just here to get carred lmao. Which is not entirely false XD. As someone who is just interested in arenas I could care less about mythic +. However, in a world where things like cut of death exist and are BiS for my class/spec in PvP because PvP gear is completely well… You know what? Not now lol.
But I can’t blame the tool for all of it. The design choices of needing to do mythics to compete in PvP is the real culprit and I’m just lashing out at stuff that keeps me from doing the content that I want to do lol.
THERE SHOULD BE CONTENT FOR ALL PLAYERS.
If I want to spend x amount of however many 12 hour sessions to get the lame rep grind out of the way… Why am I not allowed to do so? I pay a subscription to play the actual game. Why can’t I just knock out the chores on my own time? Why does the game tell me to come back the next day?
Casuals will still be casuals and they will still be playing the game the same way that they always do, CASUALLY. Why do the people who have the time have to wait by a come back tomorrow mechanic?
So what if the “hardcore” grinders finish their rep grinds a month ahead of the casuals. At least they will have had something to do during the downtime before the raid or dungeon comes out.
Logging in to do chores and then being told to hold IS NOT GOOD GAME DESIGN WHEN YOU PAY A SUBSCRIPTION.
In my eyes some things do need to change, but maybe I will start my own post for that.
Regardless, yes I agree that casuals should not be treated like hot garbage. They should be able to play the game as they want and not be excluded from things. BUT people will be people -I guess?!?- and as I am a person as well, and one that has the time to actually grind, I want to play the game how I want to play and stop being told to wait for things when I could just be done with the chores already.
As for the covenants, yes i’m sure many people know that that is a point of failure. When there exists systems where you can make choices there is “friction” as Ion did/would say. Lol
I can see what they are going for and from the looks of it some may indeed be better than others in certain situations. Hopefully it’s not like that for every situation though. But for a casual does that really matter? I would say just pick what looks fun. If a casual chooses the furry covenant when the vampires are good at x, why does that really matter if they only play 1 to however many hours a week?
I say let those that want to grind and min/max do just that. Do not bar them from achieving their goals when they pay to play a game. I’m still sour I have to grind this cape, dailies and mythics/corruption just to do PvP… I’ve been playing 12 hours a day but there really isn’t much for me to grind, on one singular toon, since I came back for 8.3 because I run out of things to do. It is entirely infuriating to have the time to grind but nothing to actually grind.
Just let casuals play how they want to play while letting grinders and min/maxers do what they want to do as well. Oh and make PvP gearing viable again lmao. Agree or disagree that is just my 2 cents. I doubt anyone really cares though XD.
It matters to a lot of casuals because we like to be able to change things up freely. Whether it’s for fun, to experiment, to run meme RP setups, or to help out our group. We enjoy the ability to make choices freely without punishment.
So if the “Hardcores” get their wish - then lots of Casuals will also get their wish and will enjoy the game a lot more.
It would also greatly benefit people who play different forms of content, roles, and/or specs.
They should just not have specific item drops for events. Just drop random items with random stats. Start adding unique stats for items randomly that include + skills from skill trees from random character types. If they do these kinds of things you wont have to lock into a faction/group that doesn’t mean anything anyways
