(In BfA) Azerite RNG + Corruption RNG + Cloak proc RNG + Essence RNG + RPPM Trinket RNG + Secondary Stat RNG vs (In SLands) RPPM Trinket RNG + Secondary Stat RNG + Spell Variance RNG.
So, if we eliminte all the equal variables, we end up with Azerite RNG + Cloak proc RNG + corruption RNG + essence RNG vs Spell Variance RNG. That is the -entire- point he was trying to make. He wasn’t accounting for Trinket RPPM or secondary stat RNG because that will be present in both BfA and Shadowlands.
