Because they dont really care about the bots. If they did theyd direct all this effort at blizzard. Instead they try to use this as leverage against boosts.

Yes, four leveled accounts make more money than 1 boosted account, but if ONE boosted account makes more money than ONE, count it, ONE leveled account, then FOUR boosted accounts make money than FOUR leveled accounts. Botters don’t have to choose between more leveled accounts OR fewer boosted accounts. Having more accounts is better, AND having boosted accounts is also better. Blizzard is now giving them both.
I’m not disputing this. My argument is that having the boost makes it EASIER for botters to make more money. I don’t care about how many accounts botters make, the boost lets each one of those accounts make MORE money than they would not boosted.
Agreed. But boosts make it easier for every account a botter creates to make more money, so boosts would be a step in the wrong direction.
I dont think it would change anything tbh. Bots are already a menace. Already have teams of bots in instances 24/7. Right now in BS there are 35 stealthed level 3s watching every single BL spawn along with countless hunters eagle eyeing

That’s fine if you want to throw up your hands and say “Whatever, bots are already here, might as well give up.” It’s not getting worse now, but it will once the boost comes out. Blizzard is one with the power to limit botter activity, and boosts literally do the opposite of this.

If blizzard does not address the problem it doesnt matter. The boost will not change that. It doesnt matter if its the 35 watchign every spawn or 50. It doesnt matter.
Blizzard need to solve the issue. The boost being removed DOES NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. And we can see that since in a game with no boost bots are an issue.
You guys are trying to treat symptoms without addressing the disease
I didn’t say it would solve the issue, I’m saying it would make it worse. Do you care if bots get worse?
Removing the boosts doesn’t cure the disease, of course not. But it does introduce more bacteria, which makes the disease worse. If someone has cancer, you don’t just give up, you try to find something to fight it. At the very least, you absolutely do not do anything to make it worse.

In a game with no boosts bots are a problem and you somehow conviced yourselves that boosts will cause the problem. The problem is already here.
If blizzard proved that they could address the bots but then boosts arrived and all of a sudden bots ran rampant Id be there with you. But they are already a problem and boosts do nothing to change that statement
What you are doing is giving a cancer patient tylenol for the headached caused by the cancer. You are solving nothing, you just dont want it to be as bad.
I never said they CAUSED the problem: they EXACERBATE the problem. We shouldn’t make existing problems WORSE. Right? Right???
