I got my WE mount from gold grinding and boosting. Best decision I ever made. There wasn’t really a good deterministic way of getting it from Mythic Jaina given I didn’t have anyone to run with at the time. I tried pugging but that didn’t work out too well. I was furious too because I was the last one standing on one encounter and we cleared it. I just screamed “you’re effing welcome!” when they kicked me just before Mekkatorque.
It’s a legitimate way to play and some guilds need the gold. It’s win-win. I wouldn’t have one of the most iconic mounts for frost mage if I didn’t do it. And I got the void drake from BFA the same way after my guild collapsed. And I might be getting into Spriest, so again, I got an iconic, limited time mount necessary for my characters’ lore by boosting. And I’ve worked hard in game before. I can also say that depending on the prices, gold farming is way more efficient than raiding.
Just try Wotlk classic with boosted character. Or use the mount … in a capital city . Grab the Popcorn and see what will happen there .
It was the same in TBC classic . 🫣
People shouldn’t bother you for boosting. In the same breath, I’m of the belief that boosting is a plight and should not be acceptable under any terms for gold or otherwise.
But, that’s just me.
Op the best advice i can honestly give you is this.
Stop caring what a person who you will never meet in real life thinks, as they are irrelevant. With the caveat that they think harmful/hateful things obviously lol.
