[Year 36 Campaign] Happy Dragonflight Launch Day!

Casualties of War

The mission board, with it’s typical announcements, available assignments, and current situation reports for various regions has a corner kept clear at all times in the bottom left. At present, however, it was more full than typical.

The KIA / MIA / POW section of the board:

Already, it had Cassiel on it. And Malicgos. And Simon Fairhill.

Argent Commander Vadinnar moved towards the board, a roll of parchments in hand. The first he unrolled and pinned: Vyaen Duskfall - Argent Crusade.

He unrolled the second: Sei’tani - Vol’kar Legion. The third, he sighed, unfurling and pinning: Amenir Redmoon - Civilian Auxiliary

Finally, he came to the last, giving a look before he pulled it open, smoothing it over with his hand, and pinning it to the board: Jannu Lysdenuit - Vol’kar Legion.

The Night Before Battle

The night before battle was calm. Allies and heroes of the Coalition did what they could to prepare for the assault on the Crucible of Storms, mending armour and sharpening weapons. Meditating or practice their spells. Praying and communing with the Holy Light.

The troops would gather by mid afternoon, prepared as they can be for the odds they would be fighting against. Tonight, the Cult will either be vanquished, or will proceed unfettered in their control over the area and there summoning of the Underlord.

Chapter 4 Finale:
The Crucible of Storms

The troops gathered in Sagehold and attended a briefing by Commander Vadinnar of the Argent Crusade: Argent and Dawn forces would attack the island of Storms and provide a distraction, while the troops gathered at Sagehold would use a Void Rift to swiftly move past the commotion and enter. Additionally, an elixir was passed around that would provide temporary resistance to mind control, for several hours. Finally, soulstones were provided to every champion.

The allies marched as one to the Void Rift and passed through it. Many were affected by the strange energies. Once inside the Crucible, a moment was taken to assess injuries and administer some healing.

The coalition entered the first grand chamber finding five powerful adversaries, including a K’thir and a N’Raqi and three of their captured allies, enthralled and turned against them. They engaged in battle, attempting to strategically end the ones causing the mind control in order to release their allies without much damage.

The battle was challenging, but the allies pressed on, learning from their missteps and working together to coordinate their attacks. Eventually, they succeeded, only to have the ground beneath them shatter and to fall through to a lower level.

Gathered and mended, their allies now no longer mind controlled, they moved through the winding passages of flesh and void, until they came to a large chamber. A voide rift opened, and Fanotheril appeared, along with the C’thraxxi Vez’okk the Lightless, standing before the Eye of Isorath the Underlord.

The Cult Master uttered threats of doom and failure before retreating back through the void rift, which closed behind him. The allies were left to face Vez’okk and the Eye. A quick discussion determined the Dawnsmen would keep Vez’okk occupied, while all others focused on taking out the Eye.

While Ve’zokk the Lightless was defeated, the creature managed to escape and will need to be finished another time. The swirling void energies that had swirled overhead ceased in that moment, in a brilliant flash. Then, it was the Eye’s turn to be bested. As it ‘died’, the entire creature, in which the party were fighting, began to sink, its bowels filling with water. It was a race against time to climb out of the creature and out of it before it, and the ground around it, collapsed.

Now surfaced, the allies witnessed a void-powered maelstrom in the skies above a whirlpool in the ocean waters. From it, a Voidwing Dragon emerged in an explosion of water and void energies, flying off beyond the reach of the Coalition.

It is to be noted that the coalition did suffer one fatality:
Sentinel Landratheril Dawnspring of the Sunreavers. His body has been returned to base and prepared according to Thalassian custom, and will lie in state until dawn.

Casualty Report Update

While the casualties are still tended to in the aftermath of the incident at the Crucible of Storm, Commander Vadinnar approaches the lower left corner of the mission board within Goldenfield before it is likely to be taken down.

First he removes the entries Duskfall, Sei’tani, Amenir, and Lysdenuit, removing them all one at a time.

Then, with a red-tinted piece of parchment in hand, the Argent Commander unravels the scroll, smoothing it out as he fastens it to the board: Landratheril Dawnspring - Sunreavers

Friday Night Mission Debrief

Answering a missive sent by Magister Sungazer of The Sunreavers, members of the coalition met to go over new information that has come to light over the last several days.

The Coalition, finished with their business in Stormsong Valley, had moved from Kul Tiras and into the Western Plaguelands once more, where most of the allied troops were gathering and preparing to move on Caer Darrow from Andorhal.

Two missions of note had occured in the days since the Coalition’s arrival: one taking place in Uldir, the other in Silvermoon City.

The mission to Silvermoon City was in response to an invitation by the Reliquary, expressing interest in helping with the Titan mysteries and relics that had been uncovered over the last few months.

However, the Reliquary had been infiltrated, and Darkfallen greeted the coalition. A cube was stolen, and though it was recovered, the three darkfallen managed to escape capture. Though they have been expelled from the Reliquary and Silvermoon Cty, reports state two comandeered ships, the Goldensail and the Suncrester, remain at sea, haunting the seas beyond Quel’Danas.

It is supposed that Selowyn, once ally of the Coalition, may be the last commander of the Darkfallen forces still standing.

Another mission had taken place in Uldir, a Titan facility on the continent of Zandalar, which along with Uldum has been an area of interest since the mission of Ulduar several weeks prior.

The Sunreavers had encountered the Reliquary in the Badlands previously, and learned of missing archaeologist, Aldren Dawnsong, one who had been following strange phenomena in Uldaman, who had now apparently gone missing around Ulduar.

It is of note that Titan systems in various known facilities, including Uldir, seem to be changing, with no known or clear explanation. With the aid of the Explorer’s League, access was granted to the Archivum.

The facilities all seem to be performing specific scans of their respective areas, and feeding their information to Uldaman, somehow. The cultists are very interested in these facilities as it us known that Iso’rath the Underlord seeks to become an Aspect.

The Coalition prepares to raid Caer Darrow, where they believe the Underlord is attempting to bring back the souls of the three Cult Masters, Irina Dithers, Miriam Shelby and Stefan Landers, and remake them into Faceless Ones on Hallow’s End when the veil between the worlds is at its thinest.

Year 36 Campaign:
Grand Finale, Part 1

Over two dozen champions met at the gates of Hearthglen to be briefed on their mission: to breach the magical barrier, raid Caer Darrow and stop the cultists from resurrecting the three dead Cult Masters and transforming them into Faceless Ones, servants of the Underlord.

The diversion team made their way to Caer Darrow, and reached the island by boat. They begin their attack, which quickly drew the forces from within, including Dark Riders. The battle to buy time had commenced.

Meanwhile, the strike team made their way to the Hearthglen Mage Tower, where a Void Rift was opened, leading directly inside the Darrow. The group moved forward, fighting their way first past a giant abomination and eventually finding a Dark Rider in their path. Behind him, a Darkfallen channeling the powers of a Relic, the focus empowering the barrier.

Through cooperation and strategy, the group worked. While some engaged the Dark Rider, the illidary known as Sunlight was teleported to the relic, where she delivered two powerful blows. The relic cracked and then shattered, the wave of void energy destroying the enemies left in their path and bringing the barrier down.

From within and without, the coalition forces moved toward the ritual site, with Darkfallen and Veiled Hand-manned cannons still a threat. Meanwhile, reinforcements left their staging area and moved towards Caer Darrow.

The entirety of the coalition’s forces moved and worked as one to clear the area and end the dark ritual taking place in its center courtyard, led by their once ally, Selowyn, the one they hoped to capture alive at the end of all of this.

In the end, the Coalition was mostly victorious: The Hallow’s End ritual by the Cult of the Damned for the Underlord was disrupted. While a single Faceless One was resurrected, no others were returned from beyond and at least two of the Cult’s leaders are now believed to be dead, including the Master Cultist Fanotheril Nightwind.

Year 36:
World Update Post

Quel’thalas:
Silvermoon’s elite continue to react in shock and astonishment after the recent revelation that the Reliquary’s prestigious and well-connected Lady Aelnara and her underlings had been replaced by insidious Darkfallen, with most estimations being the subterfuge had been in place for somewhere near seven months at minimum.

The Reliquary is still assessing possible damage and exposure the organization may have incurred during the time in question, and a full investigation by the Blood Knights is well underway.

The Eastweald & Plaguelands:
The abrupt reoccupation of Cael Danas by the Cult of the Damned took many by surprise, but Coalition forces have seen to the Isle’s reclamation and the expunging of the Cult forces in short order.

Still, where many months of relative peace seemed to just be getting accustomed to, the very sudden return of the Cult has left many shaken. An all too common sentiment, dismissed as paranoia previously, that the Cult was never really gone, or that any ill turn of luck or fate in the region was clearly the work of these roach-like cultists has now gained new weight and traction among sections of the populace.

Rumors have recently begun being whispered among some of the region’s populace that seek to blame the Argent Crusade for allowing the evil to remain and refusing to snuff it out when given the chance in order to justify their continued presence and recruitment in the region, with whomever is propagating the rumors calling for ‘more decisive action’.

Lordaeron:
The Forsaken within the Ruins of Lordaeron erected and set ablaze the first Wickerman in observation of Hallow’s End since purging the blight from the upper levels of the ruins. The newly formed Desolate Council oversaw the event and proceedings, marking a first in observation of the event with all the pomp and ceremony for the Forsaken without the Banshee Queen leading the igniting event.

Northeron (Twilight Highlands):
The Dunwald Line remains the Coalition’s primary staging point against the Twilight Citadel. Stretching from Crushblow, along the western side of Dunwald, to Victor’s Point, the defensive line represents the primary front of containment in the efforts to ensure the Cult does not escape or spread beyond the region any further.

The Boneyard to the northeast of Dunwald continues to represent the fall-back and rally point, while Dunwald itself remains the Coalition’s primary base of operations alongside the Wildhammer Dwarves.

The violet void storm continues to keep any from entering the Twilight Gate, though with Kul Tiras behind, Coalition forces begin to move in for what they hope is the final blow to the Cult.

Khaz Modan:
Strange quaking has been reported in the eastern ridges. No epicenter has been identified, and investigations are ongoing.

Reliquary and Explorer League researchers proceed with their cooperative agreement as the rush to delve deeper into Uldaman in a race against the Cult and their plot against the facility continues.

The Swamp & Blasted Lands:
With the Lich’s defeat, the Undead Green Dragons have all but been culled and their remains put to final rest.

Within the Blasted Lands, the last of the Cult’s presence evaporated, simply leaving the Dark Portal almost as suddenly as they had stormed upon it. The gate, however, remains closed. Access to Outland continues to be best provided by conventional portal or other gateways.

Drustvar:
The first Admiralty casualties have been reported in the ongoing efforts to rid the region of the aberrant dead influence and resurgent Heartsbane. In what was intended to be a bold strike against the southern-most tower of Corlain to regain a foothold on the region, the Heartsbane and aberrant dead illustrated they are not to be underestimated.

Internal probes of the incident continue, as the Admiralty is less than fully confident all “externally influenced” forces within their ranks have been culled.

The Mayor of Falconhurst has welcomed Admiralty forces to stage within the town to stage against the still unsafe Crimson Forest, expressing her desire to see the region returned to safety and have the vile cult isolated to just the northwestern reaches of the area.

Stormsong Valley:

Repairs from recent seismic activity continue across most eastern portions of the Valley, along with the clearing of debris around the Shrine and Isle.

The Admiralty reports that all renegade Tidesage activity has been quelled, assuring that the sect of traitors has been addressed.

Friday Mission Debrief

Once again, allies of the Coalition gathered to share intelligence and scouting reports, this time in the Twilight Highlands. The location for the meeting, a cellar in the area known as Dunwold Holdout, was a challenge to get to due to undead in the area, but was itself safe and warded by the Sunreavers.

The warlock Calnos began, describing a mission to the broken world of Outland, seeking remaining members of the Black Dragon Flight. An ambassador of the Flight was found and asked to lend assistance in unraveling the Dragon Riddle, which was dismissed as nothing more than a whelp’s story to inspire the Flights to return to a long lost home, and to recruit the aid of the Dragons in the current conflict, though unsuccessfully.

The party then traveled to Winterspring to parlay with members from the Blue Dragon Flight, who agreed to send aid in the battle against the cultists. The Reds and the Greens have also been successfully found and beseeched.

Additionnaly, the Plaguewyrm, escaped from the Swamp of Sorrows several weeks prior, as well as the Voidwing Dragon that emerged from Kul Tiras, have both been spotted, the Voidwing with a Faceless One mounted.

The battle for the area has already begun, and Victor’s Point has fallen. Civilans have been evacuated and abberant undead attack the front lines. Artillery fire can currently be heard and felt, as the cellar shook while the meeting took place.

As the group begin to discuss possible strategy, they discuss the Void Barrier and void storm, and how they will both contribute to making an approach very dangerous. Several ideas are proposed, including using Calnos’ Staff, aquired in Zul’aman, to syphon the void energies, penetrate the barrier and have magi teleport the party to the other side.

All information would be brought to the commanders and a plan would be formulated over the next 24 hours. Time, it would seem, was not on their side.

Assault at Twilight

The Coalition forces assembled, after days of close combat against the aberrant undead in the area, to finally advance on the enemy and attempt to root the cultists from the Twilight Highlands. Their assembly was cut short when a horn was blared and an urgent call of “incoming” was heard.

Waves of aberrant undead began pouring down the hillside toward the Dunward Holdout. The allies quickly dispersed, covered all sides and engaging with the enemy. During the first battle, Shadow Crashes began to come and pummel the ground, injuring several with every new crash.

Then, the Plaguewyrm entered the fray soaring above and landing near the allies, attempting to disrupt the lines, then taking flight again, occasionally swooping down to do damage. For every undead who fell, more seemed to come. The battle grew harder and harder. And just then, a series of horns blew, drawing everyone’s attention.

The Legion of the Dawn appeared, riding into battle and joining the fray. The cavalry had arrived and just in the knick of time. Together with their allies of the Coalition, they turned their swords to the undead and got to work, their battle crows echoing over the hillside.

Together, they decimated wave after wave of undead, avoiding Shadow Crashes and attacks from the Plaguewyrm as best they could, as they cleared the battle field. Most of the group eventually made their way to the Plaguewyrm and ended its unlife.

But there would be no pause, as the aberrant-risen undead corpse of Gronn, skullcrusher of the mountain, charged at the coalition, accompanied by a host of void-bolstered ettins and ogre magi. The Ettins, Ogre Magi, and the Gronn pulverized the allied forces. Many quickly fell and the Gronn began to hasten it’s aggressions and prepared what may have been the final blow.

Suddenly, though, the sounds of spirit drums beat through the forest and hills. First came the fierce roar of a bear through the trees, followed by the scream of an eagle in the skies overhead, then the racing footsteps and snarls of a lynx across the hills, and finally the screech of a descending dragonhawk. A whisper carried across the wind. “The debt has been repaid…”

The blessings of the Loa of Zul’Aman filled those on the field. The promise of over three months prior fulfilled, the favor in return for saving the innocent Amani the Cult had intended to sacrifice during their hold on the Troll city. As the Loa’s power rushed over our forces, the fallen found the strength to rise again, with all bolstered to match the enemy they faced. The Ettins and Ogres did not stand a chance and soon fell, then the Undead Gronn soon after.

All that remained was breaching the Gate’s defense. Void lightning surged and crackled along the perimeter of the Twilight Gate as our forces approached. With a Voidcore staff in hand, an object he spent months to obtain and master, Baron Calnos proceeded with a dangerous gambit, but one that was ultimately successful. Using the staff to absorb and disperse the storm, the Warlock broke the barrier. Coalition forces spilled into the Twilight Gate and quickly claimed it, securing the beachhead from which the final phase of our assault could commence.

Meanwhile, the Kirin Tor have sent out a call: an emergency Conclave shall take place in Dalaran in six days time to discuss the events in the Twilight Highlands.

The Year 36 Grand Finale Event will happen on Saturday November 19th.

The day of the Grand Finale has arrived…

Twilight’s End…

At four bells in the afternoon, the troops assembled at Dunwald Holdout.

Commander Vadinnar of the Argent Crusade briefed the small army: with the new weapon secured in Uldaman, but with only enough power for this one day, hours remained for the Coalition to assault the Twilight Citadel and stop the cultists once and for all. He recounted the many victories, losses and sacrifices of the coalition over the past eleven months.

On his command, the troops took their elixirs against the shadow and the void, and made their way to the Bastion of Twilight, planning an all out assault on the remaining Cult masters and their Underlord, Iso’rath.

The group entered the Bastion and found themselves in a vast chamber, empty save for void-runed anchor points for rifts. Then, a voice taunted the group. It was Allister Perrin, Master of the Cult of the Damned. The group wasted no time and began their attack. The fight proved challenging, come members becoming afflicted with shadow magic which, when not dispelled in time, coalesced into new threats added to the fight and needing to be finished.

After a hard battle, and just on the brink of defeating Perrin, the void attacked and enveloped every ally of the Coalition. The world went dark, and they found themselves in a new place, though whether reality or hallucination, none knew.

They followed the voice that called out to them, running through the chambers of the mammoth complex. Finally, Perrin was found, claiming the place to be a Vision of the Master’s ideal world. The group attacked, and an arrow flung from Raton of the Wolfmane ended him, his corpse collapsing down the stairs.

In no time, the Voidwing, brought into this world to serve as a vessel for Iso’rath, entered the chamber, soaring high overhead, while across the platform, a Faceless One appeared: Irina Dithers, Master of the Cult of the Damned, now a resurrected into this new form. The allies fought on two fronts, taking quite a few hits as they fought hard.

Ally after ally was knocked unconscious and the mission looked like it was about to fail… when the Keeper Anarkhos appeared, out of thin air. The Keeper bestow’s a blessing on the coalition members, restoring them to full health and granting them extra power. The group rise up and continue their merciless assault, ending the Faceless One and the Voidwing.

There was foe left: Iso’rath, the Underlord, his voice beckoning the allies. They rushed through the nightmare chamber and found their way down a fleshy pit, meeting the Master once and for all. The group attacked three neural tendrils, but were themselves victim to darting spikes which began knocking out allies immediately.

Those who remained finished the last of the tendrils and then, in the moment of respite, revived those they could and partially healing those who needed it most. The group then moved on, finding another flesh chamber and repeating their attack on the neural tendrils.

As the group was pummelled once again by spike, the room filled with the swirling sands of time. The Bronze Dragonflight, which had promised its aid, had come through. Reversing time, they restored the allies to full strength and health, and gifted the allies an extra blessing.

As they moved into the final chamber - the brain of Iso’rath- the group found that every single of one of their attacks repeated itself in time, thus dealing double the blow with each strike. They attacked as never before, striking down neural tendril after tendril. One those had been taken care, the entire group turned their might on the brain of the Underlord.

Just then, the chamber filled with the concentrated powers of the Arcane, Fire, Nature, Frost and Earth, as the Aspect Engine from Uldaman was activated and fired upon the brain of Iso’rath, turning flesh to ash. The brain screamed out in pain, sinking into the ground as the chamber shook. The allies fled, and as they did, the walls kept phasing between the Nightmare chamber and the Citadel’s interior.

On the Commander’s order, Magister Sungazer of the Sunreavers opened a portal to Dalaran, and the entire group managed to escape with their lives as Iso’rath, and the world he had created, were finished.

In Twilight Highlands, the land around the Twilight Citadel quakes as the entire spire begins sink downwards into the ground as the Bastion and the Underlord beneath it collapse.

Meanwhile. everyone made it back to Dalaran. As they tended to the wounded at Krasus Landing, a light snow began to fall over the city. Kirin Tor Guardians rushed to the allies and helped to escort the wounded to the infirmary or the Citadel. The rest comforted each other, and eventually scattered, seeking shelter in an inn, looking forward to finally letting their guards down and finding sleep.

Huge shout out to Vadinnar, Dungeon Master extraordinaire, for running this and most other events. You are a legend, sir.

It was time to go home.

It had been two long years since the Helm of Domination had been shattered, opening a rift between the realms and sending the continents of Azeroth into upheaval as an army of Scourge and a Cult of Underlord worshipping zealots wreaked havoc over Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms and beyond. Since a coalition of brave souls, from various orders and factions came together and worked diligently, sacrificing much, to liberate Azeroth from the terror of those who would see it all undone.

After eleven months of chasing the damned Cultists of Iso’rath throughout the Eastern Kingdoms and beyond, the allied forces of the Coalition had cornered the remaining masters inside the Bastion of Twilight and had dealt their final blow. Over the course of several hours, the heroes defeated the likes of Allister Perrin, Irina Dithers, who had been resurrected as a Faceless One, the summoned Voidwing and finally, the Underlord himself. The Bastion of Twilight, with the Underlord, sank into the earth, our heroes teleporting to Dalaran before they fell to their own demise.

Now, the Coalition’s work was finished, and it was time to part ways.

Not much was said in the days following the Cult’s defeat. The allies, exhausted and elated, gathered their belongings and supplies and dismantled their makeshift base in the Twilight Highlands. They exchanged few words as they worked, reflecting on their time together and wondering if these brave champions from all corners of the world would ever work with, or even see, each other again.

The Argent Crusaders would return to their home in Hearthglen. The Eastweald, now commonly known as the Plaguelands, had been particularly ravaged during the last two years, and there would be much work ahead to help the area find stability once more.

The Sunreavers would head home to Dalaran, the neutral sanctuary city in the sky. They would continue to represent the Sin’dorei and their kingdom of Quel’Thalas within the Kirin Tor, seeking new knowledge and exploring new magics that can help the elves find prosperity for their people.

The Vol’kar Legion and the Legion of the Dawn would return to their respective factions, still enjoying a formal armistice and thus free to aid the peoples of the Horde and the Alliance rebuild and heal on the continents of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.

The others would return to their homes in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, Thunder Bluff or Duskwood. There would be much work ahead for those seeking it. The farms in many areas had been destroyed and were rebuilding. Towns had been razed and populations had been displaced. Trade had been disrupted by dangerous unguarded roads. Famine and disease had taken their toll on the health and vitality of entire communities and nations.

As the 36th year of this newest age came to a close, many would gather together again, in Suramar, invited by the Duskwatch Saberguard to participate in their annual MIlitary Ball ahead of the Winter Solstice. They would share speeches, ale and memories, good and bad, and wonder when, and if, they would all be together again.

Fate had brought them together. But Azeroth was a vast world. Every nation, every city, every community had its challenges and needed its champions. Those who had worked together for the greater good of Azeroth now needed to be home to help with the rebuilding. Some of them would be celebrated as leaders and heroes and turned to for counsel or direction. Others would settle in quietly, preferring anonymity and the peace and quiet that would come with it.

But they were heroes, every single one of them. Whether anyone knew it or not, they had come together, worked together, and found ways to move beyond the political or ideological differences that separated them across various factions, and had helped save Azeroth and its people. Now, they had earned a rest.

Until such a day that a new threat, or possibly a new discovery, brought them all back together again.

Sei’tani stole a glance at her Rush’kah as she rested upon her knees in this grove. A grove sacred among all others. Her Rush’kah was carved from wood that came from these trees.

She had been invited here again and again, her battle sister always extending to her a welcoming hand. to Duskwood, and so for a time she stayed. She stayed to wander under the boughs, she stayed to be at peace.

“Duskwood is cursed.” They all said.
“Duskwood is dangerous and full of enemies.” They all said.

But all she had ever found in these woods, were friends.

She would never forget the allies she made during this war, the enemies they vanquished together, and the lessons she had learned.

“Atal ma’da Rani, Di chak Si-aka alarion Shiera fa’da Zul’Lukou”

She muttered in Zandali. In front of her she had paper and quill out to write, but these words dripped to the page in Common.

Words of gratitude, words of love, words of farewell, until next met.

She’d seal the letter and left it where it would be found, let Ki’somma bid farewell to who she pleased, and she an the raptor left, but she was sure Ki’somma would be back under these trees as she pleased.

And after Sei’tani reported to her Vol’kar commanders, she had one final task.

Retirement.

The war was over, the Centaur war in Desolace was done, Iso’rath was dead, and the cult was unraveled. She’d return to Stranglethorn Vale to live out her days in what was left of peace.

Hopefully it lasts longer than three years. . .

What Comes Next: An Update…

We wanted to reach out and give a little heads-up on what is being planned for this community when it comes to the time skip and the beginning of Year 40.

As the expansion launches and the time skip has already happened in game, we thought it was good to sort a few things out.

1) Timeskip: January 1st
While we understand that characters and guilds are choosing to end this calendar year and Year 36 in a variety of ways, sometimes acknowledging the time skip, interacting with Drakthyr, etc, the date of January 1st has been agreed upon by most Guild/Community Leaders here as when the time skip will be officially recognized by all . Until then, we are in a bit of a grey zone, so we ask everyone to be respectful of other players’ decision as to whether they acknowledge, or not, the time skip having happened.

2) Dragonscale Expedition
Many have expressed wanting to have their characters role-play through the story as canonical members of the Dragonscale Expedition , in some way, shape or form. After three years of going their separate ways, characters and guilds from this community will be able to run into each other again as they realize they all signed up for the expedition to the Isles.

3) Expedition Launch Party
The first two weeks of January will give characters and guilds time to react to the discovery of the Isles and ready for the trip. On Saturday January 14th, ships en route to the Dragon Isles from across Azeroth will meet up at the Isle of Quel’Danas for the Launch Party Event. It will be acknowledged that a pre-expedition mission was sent ahead to prepare the dock and the first base, the Wingrest Embassy, for our arrival, thereby allowing for some characters and guilds to already be in the Isles when the main fleet arrive. Likewise, reinforcements will be expected in the weeks to follow , allowing others to join in at a later time.

In addition, as we did for YOTS and Y36, a brand new Forum Thread is coming to document and share all of our experiences in the Dragon Isles in the Year 40.

Stay tuned!
