Yeah, Emeriss is completely overtuned

ETA on a fix? The other dragons are already overtuned for the loot they drop, but this is on another level entirely. I want the transmog from the event, but Emeriss is basically impossible for a random group to kill.

All I seen is mushrooms, green breath and lots and lots of death. the 24 gold wasn’t a dent in the 300 plus repair bill.

I dub Emeriss the distroyer of armor

Yeah I bailed after my repair bill reached 350 gold. Hope they fix the fight.

It’s possible to do. Nothing clean and nothing pretty but it is possible.

Tonight, 4 of my toons managed to slay Emeriss, - with lots of help. (Two of them got adequate rewards). We all kept on dying and running back from the GY. If we got shroomed, we ran to the sides in order to keep some middle space open. It appears to be a lot tougher than last year.

Some forum regulars have been wanting a challenge, and it looks like this might actually be more than they bargained for.

I think the main challenge here is willpower and endurance. Every character I tried it on eventually got him down, but none with any style points. It’s basically a matter of having enough people chain running from the graveyard to the dragon, dropping off a bit of damage until they die, and repeating. Even if an organized guild group showed up, they probably couldn’t do any better because even flawless execution on their own would be stymied by whoever else showed up in the zone, which they can’t control.

Anyway, I do hope Blizzard is able to fix it from the current “just bang your head enough times and it’ll eventually work” to something that feels more fun and organized, but meanwhile you can get it down now if you must.

Try that last night. 40 over people from both sides, all buffs, all wiped in 2 minutes. I died 4 times by 2 hits KO and gave up quest. Not gonna spent that much on repair bill. Wasn’t this hard last year.

Scaling is “good” LMAO.

That fight was BS. The loot didn’t even pay my repair bills from all my deaths.

They need to reduce mushroom HP by about 90%.

Honestly I hope they don’t fix it. It’s hilarious to watch and be a part of.

I was definitely laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole thing.

The funny thing is it’s still the much easier version than it was at 60, in the day.

Like, for Kazzak, I watched probably 5 people die during the fight. Back in the day? That’ve been a wipe at 2, probably.

The people doing Emeralds today don’t even -care- what nature resistance is.

I joined a group as soon as I phased in the entire area was covered in mushrooms instadeath.

Agreed, much harder than last year. Even on my tank, I can’t survive for very long. We had a full 40 man group and were trying to kill him using the tag, die, rez, tag method for over and hour and he must have reset on us over a dozen times

Honestly yea even though i died when i phased into the group it was pretty funny was a what the hell moment lol

Well, tomorrow is a different dragon so just gonna wait for a more reasonable fight. All my alts died lots on every fight and that part is fine - but Emeriss was just too nuts. Corpse running and hitting, dying is doable but the stupid dargon resets for no reason - just too disheartening. Not worth it.

After several deaths I managed to get a kill. This fight is ridiculously worse than last year. Mushrooms spawn too fast for them to be killed given their large health pool. AoE hits all over and happens so frequently its pointless to use any spells that aren’t instant cast. Hopefully it gets fixed because the novelty of it destroying everyone wears off fast.

Yep, it’s still way overtuned.

oh this sounds like fun -.-

maybe i’ll do something else tonight…

if a tank just runs around the perimeter of the area and kites the boss it usually turns out pretty well. The hard part is making that happen.

The issue is you need to tank swap because the breath applies a huge debuff. PGF tanks almost never swap.
