Is that the culling of Stratholme? Cuz that’s like a piece of time we keep revisiting.

Regular Stratholme started burning in WC3, remained burning in Vanilla, was still burning in Cataclysm and it’s still burning in BfA in the Pet Battle Dungeon.

The funny thing is, we never lit the town on fire in Warcraft III.

So why is it even burning at all? And what material is it made of to have been burning since 2002 Common Era?

My theory is that the Scourge set in on “magic fire” to make it burn forever without really destroying the city to demoralize any would-be invader.

Probably talking about the real Stratholme from vanilla/classic. Full of Patchwerk kids and demons and necromancers and Nobody owns a fire extinguisher.

In fact wasn’t there a quest in there to get a cigar lighter or something?

Yeah, but Gmomeregan is constantly fueled by radioactive flammable vapors from beneath the earth and the innards of a crazypants gnome.

Stratholme, however, seems to be fueled entirely by hate and plot demand.

If they put the fire out you’d be able to see all of the unfinished areas north of it. It’s a big bandaid since they don’t want to properly integrate Ghostlands and Eversong Woods.
