Haven’t logged in all week, decided to log in for some solo shuffle and it’s literally just Arms Warrs, UHDK, Assass rogues and Disc priest healers. Nothing has changed and melee still rule Solo shuffle. Hunter has no survivability into them and it seems like most of them have infinite gap closers.
Blizzard has said nothing about helping Hunters defensively (even though we might be less of a target in actual 3s, that doesn’t help us in Solo shuffle). This game has just gotten boring with the zug zug mentality in Solo shuffle of whichever Melee zugs the hardest wins.
I might check this game out in like 2 patches, but I doubt Blizzard will fix Hunters before then.
Yea I’m actually not getting procs either on 2 piece either now that you mention it. And wait those DONT STACK? Blizzard just loves to hate Hunters. Yea I might check back in like patch 10.2 to see if this garbage is better. I also feel like my damage is extremely low compared to all these melee cleavers. Arms is crushing me in damage, UHDK crushing me, Sin rogue crushing me…the only person I beat in damage was a Survival Hunter.
That is so annoying, Blizzard finds any way to gimp us. Also out of like 4 solo shuffle matches I have figured out why I now hate this game…before it was Feral/UHDK just passively killing my pet…now it’s Arms Warriors.
Arms Warrior is the cancer to Hunters. They are unkiteable with anti-root, 2 charges, 2 roots, leap, and spear. I legit can’t stay away and they just blow through my defensives like I’m made of paper…this is horrible.
The best is when solo shuffle puts you up against DK+Arms together on the opposing team. Literally nothing you can do lol and then the priest healer calls you trash. Like bruh…
I know that sounds like bad luck but it happens a lot because they are popular classes. Either could be subbed for DH as well, I never get a game without DH. I don’t rage quit, I just stop playing because what’s the point. “not the shuffle just in general.”
Interesting info about the +speed stuff, I noticed it not working but just thought I was crazy.
Scatter 1 charge before it reaches you. Bursting shot the 2nd. Disengage the leap. Might have to turtle the spear. I find warriors to be the easiest melee to kite.
I don’t have Bursting as BM. I scatter/steel trap into the first charge, disengage the second charge, then the leap just does it in for me. Warriors have more gap closers than we have gap creators that is the issue.
You also have cheetah+slow+masters call. And tar trap. Not sure id use both scatter and steel tap if im attacking the warrior but just getting distance.
You usually have to use scatter/steel…but I mean if you’re actually attacking the Warrior good luck ever trying to kite since any damage instantly breaks your steel trap, same with the root. If you’re trying to kill the Warrior it’s GG for you since you break every single root you have on them and they just run you down.
But yes you need to use scatter/steel since the scatter cc time isn’t enough to waddle yourself away when you’ve been forever slowed by an UHDK chains of ice…or basically any -90% movement reduction spam bs.
Cheetah can be used usually once an arena…basically useless unless paired with master’s call. Hunter can only use Cunning pets in actual 3s right now though (since we aren’t as much of a target in real 3s)…in Solo shuffle you are required to use a tenacity pet because the 20% heal on a 1min CD is really the only thing we have going for us.
You can never use Master’s call in Solo Shuffle because of this, not to mention Master’s call speed boost (12%) is not working at all in arena right now. If you have any speed enchants on gear those basically override the speed boost from Cunning Pet.
And finally…“concussive shot”…the slow that does literally nothing to any class currently since every class has 12 different ways to remove slows from themself and most classes are moving at 120% movement speed at all times.

Yea 1v1 we can kite a warrior, but in any Arena setting as a Hunter you just get run down…when people say Hunters best defense is kiting, that is extremely out dated now with how the game has changed. It’s basically impossible to kite like Hunters used to be able too. With the amount of roots, gap closers, and lock down utility in the game you are basically on a 45sec to 1min timer to win the match before you get trained down by double melee.
Yea I tested it last night after you said something about it. I had like 2 procs in a total of 10 minutes on the target dummy. I don’t think the proc rate is working as intended. Before last patch I was getting a lot more barbed shot procs from the 2 piece.
I don’t think the procs show up like normal bs procs.
It’s weird. But in running a bunch of m+ and doing some rss since getting 2 set, I definitely get a decent amount of reset barbed procs, they just don’t seem to light up like the bs procs from wild call.
I’ll check again tomorrow. Could be wrong. It’s weird, they definitely show up, like bs is on cd and suddenly I have a charge of it, but there’s no visual indication.
Honestly, I came here expecting a lame QQ post but you are 100% right, worst part was I have been blaming myself. I get targeted every SS and just cant stay alive and if its 2 melee I just get blown up.
