EVer since I’ figured out WHEN to time my Heroic Leap to essentially ignore the intended mechanic of cosmic singularity…this fight is no longer something that worries me.
Still, in about 50% of my runs, someone always dies on that ability. EVery time.
I used to end up having to solo the last 5% on her as a tank in M0 LOL
It’s more than positioning. It’s having a defensive or plan for every poison dot that goes out. It’s avoiding the webs. It’s making sure pools are available and one isn’t going to spawn on you while starfall is going crazy. It’s being prepared to get your little guy off you the one time that the webs fall right after the suck in. It’s the tank dragging the boss all over the map while your trying to stay next to puddles. The only saving grace on that boss is their are no adds so If you lose a few people the remaining can kill her. It feels like a mental overload.

not everyone has heroic leap , and can ignore it.
You can Death’s Advance, though, which is nice.
Can you grip a puddle add to make it spawn under you? AMS also works doesn’t it?
This is a good question. They normally only drop them when taking actual damage; being engaged in combat isn’t enough, but I’m not sure about a non-damaging spellcast.
My only complain about the Grand Splicer is that two of Xal’atath’s affixes involve blue orbs that (to me at least) look very much like the Splicer’s blue orbs of death.
