I created mine last night and have it ready for launch, baby! I’m not going to tell you what it is, but it’s unique and wonderful. It’s so difficult making new names in WoW. It’s like the hardest thing in the game. If you can make a good name, you’ve practically won WoW.

yep. got mine reserved… though for some reason i had to change one of the letters, cause it was taken (i’m assuming it was an orc, it was a pretty orc-y sounding name).

Have had several reserved for a while on Dalaran. Snackthyr, Snacthyr, Snakthyr, Thiccthyr, and Thrakkus. Not sure what I’m gonna go with yet.

This whole name reservation this has always been dumb imo, Blizz should either add surnames or an @handle imo. If the name I want gets taken I’ll just add a special character

I don’t like special characters. My game is to create a good name without special characters, because then I win. Special characters are like scars from giving up looking for the perfect name. I refuse!

I used the random name generator just to see what it would come up with and they aren’t bad, but ultimately I found my new name in a song sung in Gaelic I think, lol. I heard it and was, like, hell yeah, that would make a great Dracthyr name! Then, I checked on it and, oh my, it was available. I did some balancing and adjusting until the name is just perfect…so awesome, so balanced. It’s visually and aurally appealing. Perfect.
I’ve had several reserved since the day dracthyr got announced. Someday we’ll be able to make more than one, and that day will be a glorious day.

…I need to reserve Drakthyr in my server. A dracthyr named Drakthyr. But otherwise, yes. I have two serious names that I’ll need to choose from.

Ah, Dracthyr. I’ve been spelling it wrong. My Dracthyr name is still perfect, though, because I didn’t base it on the race name, thank goodness.
And Smaugh, Smug, Smog, Smaughastrasz and every other possible iteration.

I don’t understand why they can’t do what Overwatch does. You can pick any name you want and it’s all tied to your bnet so it doesn’t matter if someone already has your name.

I’ve had mine reserved for months now lol. Got a simple cool one that would’ve been snatched on the fly by far too many people. Just got lucky.
I’ve had mine set aside for a while. Unfortunately, I have to do a name change on the character who has it because he’s 47.
