Honestly Blizzard probably wouldn’t do that for their version.
Also not all characters can, or should be allowed to levitate.
It would be pretty poor to release a monk where 70% of the classes just don’t make sense when mounted.
Warriors, Rogues, DKs, Paladins, Hunters, Shaman etc all don’t have the ability to levitate, it wouldn’t make sense for them to use that example mount.
How about a flying mailbox mount?

You know they are nerfing the druids speed in mount forms in SL to encourage druids to use mounts right?
It’s a fancy square version of the mage class hall mount. It’s nice and all but I would rather have the caterpillar.

- Even if it looks like that, for 2/3rds of each expansion it will look retarded hugging the ground.
- The book is a close 3rd choice IF we get the Anubs from Wrath, (not a blood tick recolor) and 2nd if it’s a blood tick.

That’s a reasonable point, though I would assume it’s more subjective than not. I’m fine with it as long as it soars a little bit above ground level because I’ve seen some bird mount models that look like they’re dragging their bellies along the ground.
I’d still take even the caterpillar or the goo cat over the tree any day as long as I could get the book from the shop. I hate huge lanky mounts with a passion.
flying is the worst thing to ever be added to this game.
@everyone I’ve edited the OP to add fan-made concept art for the mounts. Do check it out. It’s very neat, and I’m beginning to like the caterpillar as well.
