Nothing quite as interesting as your plans.

I don’t work Mondays so I’ll be at home, stealing my husband’s wielding mask, relaxing in my lawn chair with a margarita.

Not sure how the margarita and wielding mask will work but whatevs.

Anyways, I’m in Ohio and in prime position to see it. I’ll be praying it isn’t cloudy.

I just see it this way, I don’t have fancy equipment so I just Google that and it pops up

I think someone will upload really nice pictures of it, I mean if millions of people are seeing it, it will probably be on Instagram and YouTube and TipTob and so on.

YES! So far the weather prediction on the NWS website is mostly sunny.

Do you do any gardening / have land with excessive foliage?
I’ve wondered if theres anything special with gardening evolving eclipses, like the whole lunar cycles and such interacting with certain species of plant / mushrooms, not that’d you’d particularly know whats to come but I usually frequent the same forests and it for the first time last year I noticed the impact the sky(wildfire smoke) had on certain things blooming

We will have 99% totality here in Detroit. They are predicting rain though. I guess I’ll just get wet.

its not like a tree is going to miraculously flower during the eclipse but more I’m just curious if in the following week or so certain species react differently to the slight disruption/amplification of the moon that occurred.

Its probably more relevant when people specifically have herb gardens and the like(but even that is pseudoscientific) depending on your surroundings I just have a general curiosity if anything different happens this season that can be attributed to eclipses, like early flowering or species that only bloom every decade or two.

i cant build a underground bunker in time :frowning: its so over

Farming the creatures of darkness for accessories and materials I need before fighting the next boss.

And then the Guide will use the cosmic power of the universe to get killed before I can check the crafting recipes.

I should be just getting off work when it starts.

Planning to summon Gnomethulu into this world from atop my black ziggurat.

There’s a place called the Height of the Land. I have my glasses and my PTO, gonna go there to see the eclipse, provided the weather holds.

Yes, but forecast is mostly cloudy, so, doubt I’ll see much.

Not in the path of totality and will be working that day as normal. I guess there will be a slight dimming in my area but nothing much. Will probably watch some videos on slooh.com or other streaming site.

Yeah. Work.

Of course, if tiktok is to be believed, it’s the end of the world, or some rogue planet of lizard people are going to attack, or CERN is going to summon a demon.

grabs rapier off the wall

Personally, I vote for lizard people.

I get done work at 3pm EST, so right about the time it will happen, but weather app says it might be a little cloudy, so we’ll see. If it’s clear, I’ll probably just look out at the trees and go oh wow…and then log into WoW. Rest of the family will be at work and school, so no one to watch it with anyway.

We’re heading to a local metropark to view it. Should be a fun time! Haven’t seen an eclipse in a loooooooong time

I guess I’m going to look at it alone.

Same here!

Hubs will be sleeping (night shift worker) and the kids will be in school.

I’m really hoping school allows the kids to watch, maybe include how to make pinhole viewers during school even.

I’ve purchased eclipse glasses for them to take to school. We watched it together the last time we had a total eclipse, our local library did a little event for it, hubs missed that one too due to work.
