Yahoo E-Mail Lag

Can someone help this old geezer (me)? My e-mail typing has an incredibly slow lag. When I type it’s very slow showing the letters. It doesn’t do that on gmail, so it may be a problem just with Yahoo. Can anyone lend me their assistance?

not really sure.
could be your browser/computer cache/their servers/any number of things. without a more thorough description…not really sure what it could be. what browser are you using do you use the same computer for email as everything else? do you have other tabs open vs not having them open on other emails? have you done a virus scan? your computer could be doing a update in the background.

I use Google Chrome as my browser. No virus. This has been going on for a week. I may have to just use gmail, as it doesn’t have that problem. Now trying to close some unused apps, but there aren’t many of those. Did a cleanup, and I am using Windows 11.

I also updated my GPU, and also cleaned out a bunch of “sent” mail and deleted some photos, but again, there weren’t many of those - about 140, but after deletion I only have 71 left.

hmmm…i wonder. if its google deliberately slowing the email service on their browser…do you have any other emails you use? thats the only thing i could possibly think of could be causing it. unless when was the last time you restarted your computer?

You can try…

  • Incognito
  • disabling addons one at a time
  • clearing out cache/cookies (clearing out your cache will make commonly visited website to be wiped from quick search and cookies will delete auto login information and things of that nature)
  • use another browser

to see if the problem persist.
