I hope the XT fix is bringing back battle chicken buff.
Gaslighting clown strikes again!
No, it definitely doesn’t make sense for XT hard mode to be harder than Yogg0. Sorry.
maybe they should increase Yogg difficulty beyond increasing HP/Damage instead of nerfing other bosses.
Yogg0 is plenty hard. It is now the hardest boss in the raid, as intended.
who said that was intended?
This is basically my fear. I understand that perhaps a slight nerf might be in order, but I do not trust Blizzard because their 2 modes of tuning are “This is mathematically impossible to kill actually” and “play tested and downed by 25 chimpanzees that have never seen WoW before”
This isn’t true apart from penultimate and final bosses.
For an example BWL : Firemaw, Vael, and even early Razorgore were harder than Ebonroc and Flamegor.
I don’t think you know what gaslighting means. Which, not for nothing, kinda makes you a clown
If you want to pretend XT is supposed to actually be the hardest boss instead of Yogg0 (or arguably Algalon), you can have that delusion. I really don’t care.
No. You are arguing for impossible bosses. It’s like if you said you’d give a reward for anyone who could run a 2 minute mile. Since it’s physically impossible for humans to run a mile in 2 minutes, nobody is going to even try. That’s what XT HM is right now.
Also there is just no reason for XT HM to be so highly tuned. We are playing Classic WoW. If we all wanted to min/max everything like crazy and replace our friends on the raid team with better players so we can beat a boss, we would be raiding Mythic on retail. The difficulty and tuning of Ulduar is great outside of XT HM. Fixing the outlier is the correct call here.
No… I’m arguing it’s not impossible. Or at the least that that has yet to be seen as we’re 2 weeks into a raid with radically increased skill and Ilevels from original wrath.
Try to keep up
Ok and how close is the best group in the world from beating the enrage?
that’s cool and all but add RDF
original wotlk was easy but for sure classic wotlk are made easier.
-wotlk classic got released last patch classes revamps
-ulduar gear got buffed
-and now they are nerfing things.
The enrage timer doesn’t start when hard mode activates, but rather when the boss is initially pulled. Roughly 20% of the time your raid needs to kill the boss is caught up in the pre-HM activation. The DPS numbers required aren’t quite as outlandish as the 66% increase you’re citing.
Random and irrelevant but sure, lets talk about this entirely new thing. The human body has seen few evolutionary changes in the last couple thousand years. Yet only about 100 years ago the absolute fastest mile time was over 4:30. These days amateurs are almost breaking 4, and the top professional time is well under that. And if you were to extrapolate Bolt’s 100m time across an entire mile he comes in right at 2 minutes, demonstrating that it is, in fact, not “physically impossible” but merely limited by endurance.
And in WOW we’re increasing gear scores every week. The absolute best guilds in the world are still a couple dozen Ilvls below the theoretical cap. Maybe they still won’t beat it, maybe they will. But 2 weeks in is WAY too soon to start making these blanket predictions Nubstradomus.
By that logic we could just remove assassination and combat as specs. Sub rogue does just fine in pvp and is par with ret so why even have those other two specs?
Same with death knights. Why even have frost or unholy when blood is the superior tanking spec and can also dps just as well as a ret paladin. All for the sake of equality of class balance vs spec balance.
Not sure what you’re saying. Was Ret removed from the game?
So you want like 75 people to clear XT HM before TOC comes out? Who does that benefit?
