I have a friend who can play one night per week and essentially refuses to do any PVE. (A little for gear will likely be fine)
I was thinking that twinks might be fun to do with them. I have not done it before, and would like some help getting started.
We are fine to play Classic or retail. I don’t know which game/bracket is the best for getting games and the most fun to play in.
Any help would be appreciated.
2 top brackets are level 20 (free2play)(highly active) or level 50 (non-shadowlands account) where to go.
pretty much xpoff games are dead right now do to those brackets being xpon

Start a new account and level up FOTM characters to 20 (FOTM at 20). Lock their xp, because they actually bank xp as a F2P. Pay for a month of gametime, and get them the best gear you can, with enchants etc. Let the gametime run out and just queue for bgs.
i have no idea about classic or which of its brackets are active but if you want fast bg pops and graveyard farming play 50’s on a basic(no shadowlands) account.
So there is nothing for true XPoff? Just XPon queues via a second F2P or non shadowlands account?

It appears that the way the group finder works in putting together bgs is it builds groups for all of them at the same time. So one player in this one, one in the next, etc, until one fills and the queue pops. It would probably take hundreds of xp off players queueing to make one pop. Players have tried to queue at the same time on both sides but no queue ever except maybe in 19s.
That’s too bad the XPoff queues don’t pop. I don’t really feel like using F2P or locked to BfA accounts so I can GY camp levellers though.
I guess we’ll just stick to levelling via BGs, and once we hit 50 and that Maw questline, just start a new toon.

BC heroic dungeon gear is best at 30. Cata heroic dungeon gear at 35. At 39 you can buy BoE’s off the AH, and 45 farm Legion dungeons and world quests to get warforged gear like mine. I specific queue which is long, but I’m playing another character at the same time on my other account. Specific queue gives very little xp.
Idk about 50 but I play lvl 20 and there isn’t much camping going on. You’ll be fighting a lot of other twinks. It’s fun, more so than lvl 60 anyway.
As for classic, I’m waiting for TBC. Going to make a 69 twink asap. The 60-69 bracket is going to be extremely busy. Just like 51-59 in shadowlands.
Exactly, 20s and 50s is where you will have competitive games with vs geared players (Twinks) in those brackets. Fastest/Active queues in game outside of End Game.
Experience off games do not have an avenue for steady queues.
Gearing up for Leveling brackets is easily done with Relic of the Past crafted items, these + enchants/consumables/boes. With these alone you will have better stats than most of your opponents/teammates, even with your Heirloom set bonus. Once again you are predominantly fighting moderately geared levelers, just passing through.
Outside of these 2 brackets is actually where levelers get farmed, as there is much less competition.
