I have this toon out in Pandaria now…doing pet battles and herbing and mining…why when I pick green tea leaf I only get 238 XP but if I pick other herbs out there like Silkweed I get 3250 XP…why they huge gap between those herbs when they are only found in Pandaria?
PS she is level 85 her lvl just hasn’t updated yet here.
They’re probably based on the pre-scaled values, so the best herbs to pick would be in the final zone of Panda Land leveling. That dead zone with all the bugs in the southwest.

There are some significant bugs they never figured out regarding XP on profs. I generally test it in the area, if its sub 1000 i then don’t bother to the next area.
When it’s working right, its great XP. Most areas every single pick is about 3x the value of a mob kill.
Because you are just picking one leaf versus the whole plant.
I know I only get 1 leaf or one ore but why the huge gap between Green Tea and say Silkweed or other Panda herbs…that is my question now…I get 3250 xp for one ghost iron ore and get 3250 xp for Trillium ore and only get 1 ore from each node…
