XP From Dungeons

I'm at about 73 on a hunter I'm leveling and leveled a void elf rogue to 110 during the prepatch. it really needs a lot of work.

1. it feels unrewarding. there are large gaps between spells unlocked and new talents. 70-80 is really bad. I had ideas about a new talent system here: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20769587316#post-1

2. xp from dungeons is too low for the time invested. boosting dungeon quest xp would be great.

3. regular quest xp gives around 4-5% per quest on average while wearing heirlooms. this seems too low.

4. no reason to level professions other than herbalist and miner. you should get xp for crafting.

5. quest achievements should give xp. when you finish the achievement for a zone you should get xp.

theres only going to be more levels, having more ways to get xp would help.

I let all my AR build up rested while I work and 1-2 days a week burn it all in a dungeon or 2. I may hit 110 by 2020 at the rate it's going.

ROFLMAO! So True!

This is the only one I grinded out so far.... And it sucked.... Now with kultarins and zandalari... That will be a different story...
I'll grind both those druid out like all heck
Oops wrong character. I'm both heartheater and Hodor lol.

... 0/10. Always has been a joke. Picking up poop quests is not meant to be a joke? Or having to kill 30 zebras in the barrens to get 10 hooves is not meant to be a joke? Or killing 20 birds to get 7 beaks is not meant to be a joke? You are just another one that fails at reading. Because if you would have, you would have seen why some folks are not liking the dungeon nerfs that happened in 7.3.5. Something folks have been doing for well over a decade was all of a sudden a bug lol. A bug that took them over 10, or 11 years to figure out hahaha.
First thing is to quit even saying the word bug lol. There was no bug. They called it a bug sure, but nothing says they have to be honest with any of the playerbase anyways( Item level snuck in legion anyone?). If it was a so called bug then it should of been squashed 10, or 11 years ago. Of course they knew people were power leveling for years. Because folks have been power leveling through dungeons since The Burning Crusade days. Plenty of proof of it on youtube, and other places if folks would take the time to search for it. Have 3 of those videos saved in favorites list btw. Linked one before, but cant link the others, because the potty mouths on some of the people were using in a couple of those vids are very offensive, and would not post that kind of trash talk on this, or any other forum for that matter. But it does prove that power leveling friends through dungeons has been a thing, or was a thing for a very long time. Nope it suddenly became a bug after they added allied playable allied races. If heritage armor was part of the reason, well imo heritage armor should of never been tied to leveling a allied race in the first place. That should of been its own separate questline that came with unlocking the races after that horrid rep gating.

THIS. Oh, and paragraphs are your friends.

Not only were they aware that power leveling was going on for years. Blizzard ...

1. reduced and ultimately got rid of the XP nerf to lowbees grouped with high levels.

2. raised XP experience awarded

3. lowered XP caps

4. Made heirloom gear account-wide with cumulative XP bonus

All reversed in Beta For Azeroth

#Pathfinder sucks
ion is a poison to this game.
why dont you guys give actual numbers for once instead of a vague word like significant its means !@#$ all
This is the only game that i have played that you level up and get weaker. Only imagine this without the scaling heirlooms.
back to the front page you go
I can't tell if this thread is necroed or if people have actually been keeping it going, but...

Leveling is fine.

Thanks for the bump. Leveling is fine for some, but for some it is not. It is amazing how folks don't always have to agree.

Its not necroed people have been keeping it going this long. Also for a decent group of us leveling is not fine. I wont say most since neither you or I have any way of actually seeing how many likes or doesnt like current leveling. I will say enough people dont like the current leveling myself included to keep this thread going without needing to necro it since it was made.
No, leveling is not fine. Making it take longer in outdated content was one of the worst ideas Blizzard ever came up with.
I managed to level a Lightforged to 110 using mostly dungeon power leveling in 7.3.5. When 8.0 dropped it was a slap in the face. I had been having an absolute blast for YEARS power-leveling toons using two accounts. Even used my two 110 boosts on Alliance characters so I could power-level the Alliance allied races. Now I'm basically forced to quest in content I've done dozens of times over the last 10 years. If they were going to neuter power leveling through dungeons, at least make questing more rewarding. As is it's a tedious slog. I can't see getting any more allied races' heritage armor unless there are MAJOR changes to quest XP, especially in the 60-80 bracket.

I have so much passion for this game but they just keep sucking the fun out of it until it will only be a dry soulless husk. Since 8.0 dropped, Blizzard has somehow changed from a patronus to a dementor.

its not fine at all on a literal level. they screwed up the numbers entirely on purpose. the original post proves that.

someone said ornyx doesn't work for blizz anymore. someone should seek them out and ask how painful it was to tell such a fancy, pathetic lie to players in an attempt to keep all the complaints centralized.

He was probably instructed to post this thread and it could possibly be one of his reasons for leaving when they didn't allow feedback to be answered.

All I know is that it was a shame to see him go as he seemed to me to be one of the better modulators and seemed to care for the game and us the players.

Corporate Greed will be the downfall for this game.

You want numbers?

It use to take me 10-15 hrs MAX to hit max level.

Now it takes... 45-58 hours.

Thats a big !@#$ing difference.

Hi all,

From WoW’s earliest days, we’ve always had to take steps to limit experience gains for characters when grouped with someone of a drastically higher level. We recently became aware of a bug introduced in 7.3.5: a side-effect of the vastly expanded creature scaling was causing the logic to break when awarding XP in some situations. Earlier today, we applied a hotfix to creature experience that corrects this issue.

At the same time, we have significantly increased the experience awarded through queuing for random Normal dungeons from Classic through Draenor content. Running dungeons at the appropriate should feel rewarding, whether as a complement to or even an complete alternative to questing.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and will continue to keep a close eye on the pacing of the leveling experience in 7.3.5 and beyond.

every time I reread this I laugh. only took you guys 14 years to "find" this bug that didn't exist in the first place. honestly, couldn't you just be honest and state you all were upset players were power leveling their allied alts to 110?
It is crazy to have a 229 page thread that was started by a blue, as a sticky, without a single blue reply. Want to know why Actiblizz is bleeding wow subs... this level of customer service is why.

Another funny thing is that Blizzard allows Multiboxing which has been going on for as long as the power leveling in dungeons but they are overlooking that because of the extra accounts it takes to multibox which means more subscription money for Blizzard.

However power leveling in dungeons was nerfed due to the fact that when they slow down the leveling Blizzard gets us players to have to take longer to level so they get the extra money in Subscription time and for those that want can get a boost at $60.00 a pop.

Corporate Greed Is Killing Warcraft!
I wonder how many players quit wow because of this...
