Ok so I have just tested this,
Ion is a LIAR.
He flat out LIED in the Q&A.
Prior to 8.0, a max lvl running through a low lvl toon granted XP (mind you it was nerfed from what it used to be) but it was still a chunk of XP.
I just ran through a lvl 33 on my max lvl toon to test out the so called "Last boss giving the XP" and the 33 got 1000xp. Used to be around 10k or 15k for dungeon complete.
I honestly don't understand how Ion can sit there and lie through his teeth, this is the SHADIEST nerf I have ever seen.
Why didn't he sit there and be honest? "We don't want max lvls running through low lvls (despite us being able to do this for the LIFE OF WOW until now) so we put the xp onto the end boss and you wont get it if run through a dungeon by a higher lvl toon".
But no he sat there and said some BS about merely changing it to be on the end boss and the xp is still there, lie lie lie. The lawyer in him really shines through strong on this one.
Although in fact what was formerly the dungeon bonus was rolled into the final boss
What wasn't specified is that this "rollover" is divided between your group members, instead of being awarded individually, as was the case when this experience was a "bonus".
So yeah, it's a nerf for sure and the individual dev who said it was unintentional is either mistaken, lying or ignorant.
A Developer that's also a lawyer I hear.... Lawyers sure do lie a lot but what do I know. LOL

Vote with your wallet and they will change.
I completely agree, it's as simple as this.
I understand people love this game and it is somewhat an addiction at times, I love this game but it's time to stand up against their deceiving tactics. There are MANY good suggestions in this thread and yet blizz decides to ignore the masses.

All these xp / leveling nerfs result in "prolonging" the subscription / time played metric. That's it. It has nothing to do with quality of leveling, improvements in the gameplay experience, etc. It's all about Blizzard catering to their overlord's desires.
Makes me sad we have the F2P / mobile mechanics invading our once-player-focused game. Remember all the quality of life improvements they would bring to the game?
When we start seeing things like World Quest group finder going away, it makes you wonder if Looking for Raid, or Looking for Dungeon are next and we go back to the days of finding the summoning stone / dungeon entrance... or worse... we go back to finding a group through trade and forcing everyone to trek to the dungeon.
Blizzard, please push back on these garbage metrics that you're catering to - it really feels like you're just trying to optimize your numbers instead of optimizing your playing experience. :(
I fully agree!

That was pretty good and wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be accurate.

Humor is often a vehicle for uncomfortable truths.
I'm loving it less and less each day.
I tried leveling one of my level 37 alts, each normal mob felt like a world boss fight and I had to go buy more food to eat.
What next, feed hunter pets and make / carry ammo. how about spll reagents to cast mage portals etc.
I'm about to decide that the
Wallet Vote is the only thing that will get them to pay attention.
/sigh.

Already did. Glad I live in an age where I have options for games. I don’t want to leave but these changes kill the game for me. Don’t have BFA, WANT to play it and level allied races but at this rate? No. Or for $60? No, I’d rather buy a new AAA game packed full of content or a few games on steam(recently picked up tyranny, really great rpg so far!).
It’s clear what their intentions are and it may not seem like a problem now, but just wait when BFA launches and your typical launch players come back only to see all them beautiful allied races sit their because they either don’t have the rep(maybe they don’t like doing the same quests for weeks or pvp) or don’t want to shill out 60 more $.
Heritage armor is so not worth the annoyance of leveling a char from scratch... Kul Tiran Heritage Armor might make me change my mind but I doubt it, depends on how quickly Kul Tirans are available.

What next, feed hunter pets
Didn't they already say this was coming back?
Ok so I'm not the fastest leveler, cause I'm easily distracted but I started an allied race hunter so I could have a horde side toon for RBG's. I've done 14 levels in 9 hours. I can't que for Bg's- something about having too much honor on my main. I can't get the gear that drops for party members, even if I can wear it and they can't. I'm super unhappy about this!
I feel like I should be level 70 not 34 after this much time.
As I replied on a different thread, even if I wanted a boost it would cost me roughly all the gold I have on my main. This is ridiculous Blizzard. I have 9 110's already and a bevy of other low alts.
WHY DO I HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS CONTENT AGAIN AT A SLOWER PACE???????
You made it easier to connect with different groups of players but impossible to make a toon to join them on. I'm no math genius but at this rate I have to put in another 50 hours to get to 110?
Not Happy at all Blizzard!
I think everyone should start submitting tickets on the issue if you aren't already.
I submit a ticket and once a gamemaster gives me the whole nothing they can do about it spill I thank them do their survey telling them they did not solve my problem and submit a new ticket again.
I have submitted ticket about it several times this week and will continue to do so. Maybe they will get so annoyed/frustrated with people complaining they will actually fix their mistake.
Tickets are not a way to input suggestions into the game. Do not do this, it's immature and harmful to the helpful GM who is just trying to do their job. In a lot of customer service jobs, anything other than 5 stars on reviews can get you fired or in serious trouble. Giving them poor reviews just because they can't magically fix the game design for you is very impulsive and lacking any kind of empathy for the real human beings trying to help players' in-game issues.
You might not agree with leveling changes. I don't. But
do not use customer service as a way to try to force the game to change. They are not able to do anything for you. There is an in-game suggestion box for this reason. You are just wasting their time and the time of the players with actual in-game problems.
I would like to level my 36 warlock and not get one shot (two shot if you count the voidwalker being one shot as one). Your nerf of 25% mob damage on the 19th did nothing.

I work in customer service and I know exactly how surveys work. I am a paying customer and I have an issue therefore I will contact customer service. If they are unable to help once I take the survey and it asks if my problem was solved all I can do is say no, anything else would be a lie.

The big problem with that, the CS team that answers the phone and answers tickets, are in no way associated with the top dogs at Blizzard and can't do ANYTHING at all to fix the leveling problems. That goes all the way the likes of Ion and J.Allen and them. So all you're doing is being rude, !@#$ty, and leaving a bad review to people who in no way can change the leveling or affect the changes of the leveling. So don't drop you're anger over this on the grunts, you wanna leave bad reviews, then find ways to get in touch with upper management and leave the bad reviews on them.

Well how many ways can this turn out?
1. "Wow. Our CS guys have been getting bad reviews. We've been firing them left and right. Somethings going on. Maybe I should pass it on...." -Head CS guy
2. *(infinite black hole of a suggestion box grows even larger)* ".....yawn"

or 3. "Hey another person angry about the leveling, something we can't do anything about, just send them the copy paste response and move on to something we can deal with." At which point the survey reviews for that usually get discarded when the bosses know what it's over and expects them.

Reminds me of the old Crendor vid about class changes. Part of the shaman one was "We have nerfed shaman for the 1000th time...". And here we are waiting till 8.1 or later lol.

I'm just doing the monk buff daily, trying to get it back up to 18 hours again... although that might just buy me a level or two with the tweaks they keep making.
Anywho, those things can choke on a bag of worms. Having to pop all my cd's to get through a "daily" while humorous at first, it is getting old fast. So much for "mobs under 100 had damaged nerfed by 25%".
I'm done with this thread, I've been trying to be helpful and keep it going, when I see it on page 4, I respond.
But opening a ticket and contacting Customer Service and then giving a bad review does nothing for our cause, All you will have done is get an innocent employee either fired or in hot water.
You will only grab their attention by them seeing less dollars $$$ coming in.
I will not be a part of someone who has a family, child, mortgage to lose their job.
Good Bye All And Good Luck.
