I want this to keep going and growing so that, hopefully, Blizzard does the right thing and responds to the problems here with levelling. The time it takes to gain one level now, for me, is averaging around and hour to an hour and a half, or more. And this is with another player my level working together with dungeons and quests. At this rate, since I only play a few hours a day, it will take me say... for my level 45 paladin, over a month, playing 3 hours or more per day, to get there, focused and grinding constantly. No time, for say, the new content, or any other character, or any other aspect of the game at all. As a casual player... this is daunting. I would like to enjoy several things, play the new content, and be able to level on the side, and be able to try out paladin with the new Battle for Azeroth, not just one character that I can use a boost on.
Please, consider the player like me. The "experience" isn't pleasant for me. At least make options available for those who are not enjoying it, to make the xp gain better, at the least. The difficulty isn't enjoyable, either, but I'd take it, if it actually, you know, gave good xp. Instead, I'm working my butt off for no reward, and an increasingly bleak outlook on the whole game. I'm not sure I'll endure through it, as much as I enjoy playing this game with my s/o.
In today's developer Q&A Ion said "End of dungeon objective XP is no longer there, it has been rolled into the final boss of the dungeon."
That is just not true at least not completely.
It seems like when you use the LFG random dungeon you do get the extra xp after defeating last boss but it still seems buggy as 3 out of 10 runs did not award it.
Queuing for specific dungeons or being ran through by a higher level character awards nothing on completion.
When running my lower level character through dungeons with a high level I am gaining about 5-8% xp per run.
XP has definitely been nerfed and they are either choosing to pretend it isn't or don't realize it.

Yeah I just took this DK from 55-110 in a couple weeks....
Now trying to level my paladin... My goal was all three plates at 110 for BFA launch... Now Im just not gonna buy it. This is f***ing absurd. Screw blizzard and their greed.
My 69 Pally with full looms went from grinding through content at a reasonable speed to trudging through slow and miserable content where basic mobs take full rotations to down. My girlfriend just subbed a month ago to play with me, and she hasnt tried to pre-patch yet. She is only in her 30s, there is NO way she is going to buy BFA either.
On the bright side I'll probably spend way more time outside this summer now!

Dungeon xp should be > questing xp as it requires a group.
Fix it Blizzard.
Fix it Blizzard.

This was from the Q&A a few mins ago
How can you tell a lawyer is lying?
Their lips are moving...
That is how FFXIV more of less does it, once you level up a class to max level, you can play a different class with a 10% boost, in the same character, up to 50% max, I believe.07/19/2018 03:04 PMPosted by AltunI wish that every time you leveled a character to max for the expansion, you would get a 5% - 10% exp buff that spreads to everyone thats a lower level on the account.
Well it definitely looks like there's a problem with the dungeon xp and its not just my imagination. Like many others, I lvl my own characters with a second account because of the tedious nature of lvling through old content. 110 warrior running a 82 druid through Blackrock Caverns. First 3 bosses awarded 1194 exp (+597 rested bonus, +55 group bonus). Last boss awarded 3188 exp (1594 rested bonus, 145 group bonus). Its obvious the last boss does give a bit more xp but nothing like what we were getting before 8.0 patch went live. (I would have xp numbers before the patch handy if I had expected this issue.) Now either the last boss giving roughly twice the kill xp of the first 3 bosses is the intended bonus they're talking about or there is definitely a bug and the completion bonus xp is not being added like its supposed to. Obviously the xp for completing dungeons is alot less than it was a few days ago.
I can understand the more lengthy lvling process being intended for allied races and the heritage armor reward for the 20-110 grind, but forcing this upon everyone regardless is not only unnecessary but ridiculous.
As an extra note, yes i did kill the bonus boss as well and got the same amount of xp as the first 3 bosses.

07/19/2018 10:17 AMPosted by VelaraYou've all heard that you can't farm legacy raids unless you're 11 levels higher than them right?
This means no legacy farming of Legion till the xpac after BfA
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/8zui2s/legacy_loot_mode_now_requires_11_levels/
I'm sure this will work out well for Blizzard.
This was also verified during the Q & A today that it will require 11 levels higher, I heard and saw this come straight out of Ion's mouth.
Also out of his mouth came that it was not their intent to make leveling so hard and that they knew there were areas that needed to be adjusted and that they had corrected about 6 in the last hour, What a crock of B/S, The whole system is wacked and not their intent, B/S they knew it would take more time to level thus they would make more money in /played time and for the ones that didn't want to level to buy boosts, Not their intent....what a crock of B/S.
I could sense the nerveousness in his voice at the beginning of the Q & A, They know the whole community is upset over this B/S.
Oh yeah he did alo say that it was their intent to place the bulk of the XP gain when the last boss is downed. In my opinion that maybe was a good move for those players that would leave the raid early. That was about all I heard that made sense for me anyway.
07/19/2018 02:37 AMPosted by Mate07/18/2018 06:56 AMPosted by Dalean* Reduction in Heirloom XP Bonus (if you had them all it was 55%, now capped at 50%)
Ok more bad information, It follows how Blizzard said.
91 Wolf and 91 Mage
1000 XP with no XP buffs
1500 XP with 50% Heirlooms
1550 XP with 55% bam
1750 XP with 55%+20% Accelerated Learning pot
1850 XP with 55%+20%+10% War mode.
So additive not multiplicative, NOT capped at 50%
Edit
Random Lich King dungeon Bonus XP 1 more time this week
Random Burning Crusade dungeon Bonus XP 1 more time this week.
Random Dungeon 1 more time this week
Random Warlords of Draenor, 1 more time Today.
They are not going to make some leveling dungeons a week and others a day. Its surely a bug.
In the Q&A he did mention this as being a bug that they were going to correct.
Better get back on track DEV Team. My family has been playing since launch of BC, 3 accounts. We are not going to relearn 37 110's. If you don't fix stuff most likely we will not purchase the new expansion. Our friends and guild members are already leaving due to the disappointment. Add options to the game, don't take stuff that we spent the last year working for. You want people to come to the game move forward F"#CK Vanilla!
Literally a non issue, if you don’t want to do the content you don’t get a leveled toon, simple as that.
Dungeons are content.
Also they massively nerfed dungeon xp without buffing quest xp which means a nerfed slower leveling process overall be it running dungeons or questing.

Tossing my name in here. Really, dungeons are completely pointless now. At least I can work on quest achievements I don't have yet, but if I didn't have that, this would feel tedious. I really miss doing group content to level. If we could bring back dungeon XP that would be great.
So, After the Pre-patch I got into a 5man with my 36 rogue with my lvl 90 DK to get some leveling done. I notice there is no completion bonus XP any more for doing the runs normally. By this I mean even walking into the zone with just my lvl 36 rogue, I seen no xp offered for doing Stockades. How is it that doing these runs like they were meant to be done as in Walking to the instance with either a group or a friend vs using the Q system has been punished so hard.
I've always powerleveled friends since 60 even my own account characters with Refer-a-friend and dual boxing. Currently Before the Pre-patch I was running a total of 8 allied rerolls 4 horde 4 alliance with my 2nd account that I spent 200kg+ to make active with a wow token, As well I leveled and geared 2 90 twink DKs on that account to use to level up my main accounts Allied races.
The reason I did this was because of many factors.
1. DPS Q times are forever long,
2. Finding a good tank that knows the old 60 runs paths and short cuts is rare.
3. If you don't have a good tank , runs take over 25-35+ mins with deaths.
4. I can quest, But I enjoy running 5mans vs Questing.
5. Now with these changes you are pretty much giving us 2 options , Quest or Q for 5mans with others.
This is a terrible way to limit the means to gain levels considering the end result is the same just gained with different means. I saved myself HOURS leveling up my toons by carrying them in Stockades with my 2nd account vs dealing with the 5man Qing system. Now I can't do that with less than 28 days left until BFA releases I won't now have all my allied races up to 110 before then Because of this Un-needed Nerf to something so trivial.
Does it really matter how we get XP for our characters as long as we're not breaking any rules of the ToS.. Blizzard this is annoying. I wasted 200kg + on a wow token and this 5man nerf wasn't even in the patch notes....
I want a refund on my 2 accounts remaining game time credited to my main account, This is beyond unacceptable when you just force feed us a way to play in a OPEN WORLD MMO!! There shouldn't only be 2 ways to level!!
I'm glad I bought BFA and game time with gold vs Cash, Because if I had to choose to spend real money on this game I wouldn't of even considered it with the direction WoW has gone since the Activision Merge.
Sad to see such a great game being dragged through the mud like this all for a few extra pennies. Had you never changed the format from the 60-70 days, You wouldn't of lose millions of subs...

Okay so, as Ion addressed today in the Q&A, they moved the completion bonus xp from an objective and just dumped the xp on the final boss instead. Fair enough, on the surface level. However, when you dig deeper, this is still a massive nerf unless what I am about to present is a bug. When you dig a little deeper down, the issue is, with the completion xp being on the boss, that xp is now being divided among all 5 members of the party instead of each person getting a big chunk individually like you would have when it was a completion bonus.
Edit: From this day forth, I will refer to ActiBlizzard as Bli$$ard.

DING!
*throws confetti, queues band*
You found the loophole!
Here's another one: This is the blue post from the yak:
Just some clarification on this, you do not need both factions for Pathfinder Part 1. You will only need either Horde or Alliance side.
Notably nothing about what will be required in PF Part(s) 2+?
#you heard it here.
Just ran my alt through Ramparts and he literally got ZERO XP. None from killing mobs or the bonus for killing the last boss. Would love an answer.
Funny how the first thing ion said was “leveling my alts”. Like yeah, sure you are. A rich blizzard game dev is going to spend a month leveling his alt(assuming he plays 2-4 hours every day).
Its pretty clear his intentions and he seems to be in extreme denial that a huge majority of players are not for this a change. I was hoping he would address the obvious problem instead of answering transmog question 32 and other questions that are probably made up by themselves.

I know you would love an answer along with the other players that have posted here in this forum that Blizzard themselves created as a Sticky thread asking for feedback but here we are now with 171 pages and over 3400 posts with no reply from Blizzard since they first posted it Feb. 15 after saying they were aware of a "BUG"(s).
Today there was a Q&A from Ion and not one word was mentioned from this thread, He says that they didn't intend for the leveling to be this hard. I say B/S they knew, They asked us almost 6 months ago in this thread to tell them in which we did but not one word or any mention of correcting anything until today.
And what was mentioned was only a few areas that were broke and that they were working to correct the problems but I say B/S if they cared then they would have took our feedback when we gave it to them months ago and not wait until now to correct them.
I truely believe that Blizzard intentually made leveling harder in patch 7.3.5 so that when they did the stat squish it wouldn't be as noticable when they said it was not their intent to make it harder so that when they corrected parts of it then it wouldn't look as bad on them that all the other areas they didn't correct were still harder to level and they could say here it is we corrected it when in reality all they corrected was the real bad screw ups (Which were probally done that way purposbally so they could look good now).
It's all about the money earned no matter how you look at it, Take longer to level Blizzard gets more money in subscription time /played, Get bored and want end game then buy a boost at $60.00 a pop.
Back in the Vanilla days sure it took a while to level but you had 10 million players all leveling with plenty of players around that were doing the same content with only 60 levels so it didn't take as long with all the help around and only 2 patches of land.
Now many of those areas are like ghost towns and gettig a group is not easy because everyone wants to get to end game and that's were most players are now playing.
If they don't want us doing dungeons then buff quest experience FFS
