The big thing that FF14 does right while leveling is that you fight bosses and the game teaches you how to play as you progress. Its like a growing experience from start to finish where you learn to perform your desired class's role. The boss fights would progressively get more difficult as you had access to more skills


No they don't.

Dungeons in FF14 are catered for the lowest common denominator, where even if you fail every mechanic you don't get punished.

The hardest dungeon in the game was considered to be Aurum Vale at 47, but even then it's been nerfed where it's a joke now.

You and I must have played a different game a launch then. Dzemael Darkhold, Stone Vigil, and Cutter's Cry 2nd and 3rd boss would punish you if you didn't know the ability timings.
