Just hear me out, I know this might sound slightly odd, but I’ve been thinking “what if we would get a certain % xp bonus when leveling an alt accordingly to the amount of toons we have on cap lvl”. Elaborating the scenario:
I myself play all of the classes in the game, I have 8 toons on 120 and 5 above 110, yet I’ve got out of juice to keep up haha. But imagine if you’d get 3% xp bonus per alt on 120, I’d get 24% xp boost to lvl alt number 9, right? It seems high, so it could be 2%/toon on 120, or idk. It just feels like it’s something that could be explored here, since you leveled 5 or more times throughout the content, EVERYTHING gets dull and boring, BUT you still wanna get a taste of the class you saw your budd playing and it looks awesome, or, in my case, when you get owned in an arena by a certain class/spec and you think “jesus, that class seems awesome to play with, look at those animations”(that happened to me when I started playing for real back in legion - I leveled everything over the period of a year or so casualy o.o’).
Anyways, just a thought. Felt curious to see who else would think that’s cool or other adaptations. Have a nice week, folks!
They have new armor and reduced the % of XP exponentially at lower levels. I got to 100 in 2 days actively playing (not /played time which is probably much less). Why are you complaining about XP boosts now again? Why are you asking for another cookie when you had like 5 already? The game with how it’s set now leveling wise is pretty good now.
I made a DiD shaman 3 days ago, and I worked 8 hours each of those days, cooked my own breakfasts and dinners, watched my weekly streaming shows and animes, and I still got that shaman to 92 in 3 days. I think xp is finally where it feels right, besides wishing I could skip WoD or stay in Pandaria for 10 more levels.
I actually feel it would be the people with more max toons before this feature unlocks that would have the bigger right to complain. Sure, they might have like 20% xp buff right away, but they had to level 10 other toons the slow way, while a newer player or player with less alts gets a boost on all of their alts after the first and will assuredly catch up for more overall use of the feature.
Didn’t mean to sound like a huuuge complaint. Leveling is insanley better untill 110, no doubt. My boredom comes from rly wanting to lvl up another alt from 110 to 120 and having to go through that lvl range in the same pace I did before…the previous 8 times haha.
The idea of the feature is to compensate those who already have gone through the current content and still wanna explore new classes and specs on end game. And it was just an idea =]
Because someone who already has 10 alts at 120 leveled them all up without the buff, then are magically granted 20% next patch (assuming they decided on 2% per max toon)
Say, next, my roommate (who has 1 level 116 rogue he’s leveling as his first toon) hits 120, now he has a 2% buff.
He levels a new 120 and saves 2%,
He levels another and saves 4%,
He levels another and saves 6%,
He levels another and saves 8%,
He levels another and saves 10%,
He levels another and saves 12%,
He levels another and saves 14%,
He levels another and saves 16%,
He levels another and saves 18%,
He levels his last and saves 20%.
My roommate was able to take full advantage of your proposed buff for a total of 110% xp saved.
Mathematically 100% is the full amount of xp required togo from 1 to 120, so this buff more or less let him level 10 toons in the time that it would’ve taken to level 9.
The guy who already has 10 120s and a 20% buff on this patch’s launch date?
Well he’s just gonna miss out on that 110%, but he is still starting with 20% so nobody really loses.
Ahhhh I understand now, good point. Idk, that might be just the way I see things, but I’d rather have people not going through the same bad things I had(bad on my PoV) rather than just be petty and make everyone go through the mudd just because I did XD
old thread, but this idea was mentioned when 7.3.5 was still in the ptr phase. Also my personal fav a xp tabard that gives you xp the way heirlooms work.
