Eso and a bunch of pay to win eastern mmos.
Now ffxiv is on Xbox…a whole market that blizzard is just letting slip through their fingers for what reason exactly, i truthfully feel like wow could flourish on the console market especially when you see how many Xbox players are on eso/ destiny 2… why is this not a priority
lets see having to pay a subscription for both wow and xbox live
for 2 we would need to separated the 2 due to the add ons we get and other stuff
bans might be more easy to bypass on the xbox then pc.
They don’t want to dumb their game down

Didn’t stop tons of people from playing phantasy star universe on 360. It could even have a special case like that game did where you didn’t need xbox live gold and could just pay your PSU sub.
the amount of work to make wow work on a console isnt worth the investment not to mention the hatred they will get when they have to get rid of addons to make it work. theres no way this would come to console and be able to get addons to. ff14 was designed with console and pc in mind while wow was designed for only pc

How do you think ffxiv exist with this same issue?
and ff14 can be played for free up to lvl 70 with not time restrictions and this is the free trial
eso had to remove the sub due to xbox and sony sub payment if i recall and have the sub with benefits now
Money? Change game for money!!! More shop items!
Console players would be at a huge disadvantage without addons.

naw we would be called cheaters due to using K&M lol
this game could not function on a controller
Because WoW’s real selling point is its smooth reactive combat and end game which won’t translate well to consoles…
Side note, New World will be launching on consoles in a couple months

i thought that game has died due to bots and such lol
wow dosent have controller support i thought?
Nope. The next x-pack comes out in October and includes a focus on solo/duo play, a new raid, and an expansion to Xbox and PS5.
But it’s definitely not doing great. I think Amazon is trying to save it
Been a long time since I’ve mucked with it, but I’m pretty sure games that host their services on their own servers and have an external subscription don’t require Gold/Game Pass for online play. I know Final Fantasy XI and Phantasy Star Universe didn’t need Gold back in the day.
Wait, that game is still around?
