So, because Microsoft now owns Blizzard, do you guys think WOW and other games will have what Xbox has? Which is the eight strike rule, where if you say anything inappropriate you get a strike and once you get 8 you get banned for a year.
I think 8 is too many… How do you not learn after the first time lol, unless you are a kid… Imagine if that was the system we had, like you can rob the bank 8 times and then you can goto jail
Going on 7 years of game play, I got ZERO infractions in game…because I dont talk…to anyone…for any reason.
Im not worrying myself awake at night about anything MS has going on.
That is a terrible comparison.
Robbing a bank is a CLEAR violation of law…a CLEAR endangerment of other human beings. There is ZERO ambiguity in something like that.
Define “trolling” for me in a CLEAR way that NO ONE EVER can abuse the term…because that is the sort of ‘violations’ that exist when you start banning people for talking.
Not even close to robbing banks
I kinda hope MS enforces their own rules, personally.
Watching how this forum it run, for example, how moderator mood, and literally the day of the week it is…ie late Friday / Saturday, seems to dictate whats a ‘violation’ and what isnt, I think I’d personally prefer anything MS can bring to the table over what this forum has shown and what we’ve seen from a lot of discussions in here over in game punishments, that have literally been reversed in cases because they went too far or were carried out in error.
MS cant do any worse, thats for certain.
we’re talking about CLEAR law violations and endangering human life to WORDS.
When words are violations without CLEAR rules, then some clown GM can decide youve committed a violation where another GM will say you havent.
You rob a bank, you threaten life to do it, NO ONE with working brain cells is going to think you havent done something wrong.
You say some words and someone gets rump hurt and some GM in a bad mood says its a violation…while 14 other GMs may tell the first one to lighten up.
Its the same garbage as this forum.
One mod says its a violation and you get vacated…and a week later you say the exact same thing and another mod restores the post.
Ive literally seen it with my own eyes.
Until trash like ‘trolling’ ambiguity is removed, flag / report abuse is severely punished, and even mods/GMs removed for showing a shred of personal bias, this entire game and forum remain an abject joke as far as ‘violations’ and punishment are concerned.
Rules need to be CLEAR as crystal. No room for interpretation error.
flag/report abuse needs to be punished as severely as any other clear violation.
“swearing” is what, exactly? Define it clearly enough that no moderator or GM could EVER say something is swearing while another one says it isnt.
The ONLY way swearing is CLEAR is if you literally list out what EXACT words are prohibited…otherwise some GM / mod in a bad mood can just ‘interpret’ the manner you said those words in as ‘swearing’.
Again…remove the abiguity…trolling and even ‘swearing’ arent clear enough.
thread muted.
not worth my time being wasted today.
Yea i dont think you have to explain to me what robing a bank mean to me lol… But people do sign a contract saying its against the rules to act a certain way theres no 8 tries before an action is taken
At least in America, criminals get away with a lot more than that with less than a slap on the wrist in… certain areas run by a certain political wing.
guess I didnt mute the thread fast enough but yeah…this…proving the case.
In the last 5 years or so people have burned, looted, murdered, robbed…and been excused for even CLEAR LAW violations because of politics…personal biases.
And we think we can trust our game not being banned over some GM with a bad attitude over VAGUE rules on words?? lol
Anything from calling someone a “adjective” idiot, to the anal “ability” parties in trade. But also, starting a political discussion in trade, because that conversation always goes dark. Basically, in pugs or public channels, any behavior that disrupts the peace. These things should get you a time out.
However, in a guild group, where everyone knows and accepts each other, and the conversation is not on public channels, it’s up to the guild master to moderate the sheep.
