He definitely isn’t speccing gpy every game 2800+. Gpy isn’t very good in RMX, he is right about that. Go look at this last queue session with Pika and Born, he didn’t spec it once im pretty sure out of like 15 games.

They absolutely shouldn’t.
People like Rextroy who is a genius at mechanics and understands every spec should be balancing the game. Not sure why Blizzard hasn’t hired him yet. The game needs to be fun first and foremost and we need Guru’s that play the game and understand mechanics to help with Class design.

I don’t think he’s wrong necessarily. Like, Claw, DB, ETC are fun buttons. I think the main thing is accessing some of those things. Gushing wounds isn’t fun and tremendously changes how you can play your character, and that’s completely different than something like Claw which requires setup and reaction to it from an enemy player.
Destro warlock feels like a mess in PVP right now. You have access to lots of new buttons, but because haste values are abysmal right now on beta there are lots of things you can’t do. Unless you have a healer to queue with you also can’t test much besides double dps and because haste is so low destro just kind of flops.
They should have the server with purchasable raid/pvp gear for free so we can get a real idea of how this is going to play right now and limit skirms to 3v3 queues. It feels like a mess and what is going on isn’t PVP testing.
He gets the benefit of doubt here only because he is comparing SL in its testing phase (with lots of uncanny and displeasing bugs). Plus he’s playing fire mage- widely known to be one of the most fun, simplistic, and broken caster across the board. I’d be pretty bewildered tho if SL comes out and a few days later he still thinks BFA is better. This xpac is absolutely horrendous in whatever angle you look at, and I seriously doubt SL would be worse.
I mean literally no one with a brain playing RMP at any CR is playing Gpy. Gpy is a comp reliant button and is disgusting when playing with another mage or a destro lock but with RMP you win in combustion go’s so you play short combust which is just as disgusting of an ability.
Not surprising at all tbh, streamers only follow 1 thing: money, it’s their job after all. The easier they can insta kill people the more videos they can put out and more money comes along.
I believe there is another rank1 streamer mage who complained about double shimmer nerf and now it’s back to Bfa design, they don’t really care much about “balance” they’re just in for the money. It’s pretty naive to believe otherwise.
Don’t hate them for trying to do their job though, they’re exceptional players but you probably can’t have such biased opinions influence develompent, imho.
