Is Xal’atah really Alleria? Their facial features look the same in that side by side picture, and Alleria dipped into the void magic. And it’s calked the war with. Maybe it’s within her?
No, Xalatath is some ancient power (perhaps the fifth old god). She existed way before Alleria. It seems they are setting things up for both to be adversaries of each other though.

It is possible… but you would need to throw in time travel, and i think it would just get too messy.

Xal’atath is using the body of a dead blood elf named Inanis
This happened during BfA where we helped free Xal’atath by killing Inanis and free Xal’atath her from her prison in the Legion blade.

I think Xal’a is a n’quir with powers or another Old God.
Alleria, she scares me too, she can absorb all the power of a fallen Naru and has. I believe she has fallen into madness already.
I think she will go full mad and it’ll reflect the Visions of Nzoth a bit, but then Sylvanas helps pull her out of it. I feel like there is a reason they focused on their relationship in the short more than her’s with Vereesa.

Nah, her body belongs to some sin’dorei mage we killed, they are just showing the two together as a mirror I imagine, two different uses of the Void, as well as a warning to Alleria should she fail.
