I figure the 60 alts is 900 runs which is a decent attempt to catch the mount and still maintain normalcy. Having done 2 in the accounts in the past 2 years/so it’s been disappointing in the past. Going onto the WoW2 or my second bnet would increase my anxiety (have to get all the characters ready etc). Am more likely to consider it next year though. Now the meta is having the alts mount eligible on separate bnets though. Landing the mount on another bnet is easily another sub &/ xpac fee (for evokers) and potential character transfer with mount in bags though. I don’t even really want to log into my other bnet to see how much legwork I would need to do.

500 mount achievement finally

Yep, we agree. The yeti will be changed to a different mount (not a yeti) in a future alpha build, though not necessarily the next one. Feedback like this is always useful, and please take this as a reminder that things you see in alpha builds are subject to change.

We had better communication about feedback during Beta and last year for this event, now 0 communication.

Meanwhile, We’re still doing every possible attempt trying to beat the odds while some players got luck with the boost attempt…

After “coming prepared” this year with an army of 12 level 70’s (how wrong I was…), and having this “fix” of a “greatly increased” first chance of the day… It’s frustrating to see it STILL not have dropped for me.

It all had me thinking, and I checked the date of my first Love is in the Air achievements. 02/08/2010. Had me further thinking that any “fix” to this should have been a cumulative “greatly increased” drop rate based on how long you have been trying for this mount. It’s insane that I have been trying for 13 years, am no closer, and that I see people getting it on their first tries EVER.

We’ve heard your feedback on the frustrations with X-45 Heartbreaker’s low drop rate and feeling the pressure of having to farm the mount by cycling through as many alts as possible every day. From now on, the first Heart-Shaped Box you receive each day across your Battle.net account will have a greatly increased chance to contain the X-45 Heartbreaker mount.

Any subsequent Heart-Shaped Boxes you earn on your characters after the first each day will drop the mount at the previous, original rate.

Love is in the Air begins on February 6 at 10:00 a.m. PST in all regions. So spritz on your favorite perfume and head to the Shadowfang Keep event dungeon to defeat Apothecary Hummel for your chance at the fantastic flying fuschia fuselage you’ve fancied far too fervently for what seems like forever.

I’ll bet that as soon as this event ends, there’s going to be a CM just closing this thread…instead of providing an input about how this “solution” actually fixed the issues mentioned by Reward Dev last year.

Do a proper event on which players participate instead of this fight that a player can be afk using the AH while the other players must do the fight just for another shot to this RNG reward…

Hey so i talked a lot of shot on blizz and the love is in the air event the past couple days, I apologize, but it payed off. Issues… Its not only providing a better RNG, so few players will get it each time. Chimes mentioned that this isn’t fun and the burn out of doing this with multiple alts… I don’t know how to explain you that the whole thing requires a better approach. I can paste a lot of screenshots of this fight with players afk, boss reset, tanks / healers on dps spec because roles don’t matter. I expected some sort of change that will reduce my multiple hours of runs each day and provide some good gameplay…

There are hundreds of unique accounts in several of my communities and none of us have gotten it. So while I am happy that you and your friends have had all the luck and gotten the mount, there are many many many more that have not.
That tends to make your argument that is fine because you and yours have been lucky seem kind of specious.

Turns out the blue text was false hope for 99.8% of us.

I’m genuinely mad this time (perhaps even malding). Just put the stupid rocket on the trading post or something so this 14 years of insanity can end.
