Wyrmrest Alliance, Egg Handout Study

Hello Wyrmrest Accord, my name is Myis and I am here to bring you some of our findings in the Egg Handout Study.

We set forth with a simple goal: Hand out 100 eggs, unbiased, to 100 Alliance players in Stormwind city. Our methodology consisted of wordlessly handing a single Wildfowl Egg to a player, awaiting to see if they accepted or declined, then recording the interaction and some statistics about the player.

We did not influence the player to accept or decline, with minimal to no interaction. AFK players were not counted.

For some starting data:

100 players.
79 players accepted the egg, 21 declined.
There were 54 male characters sampled, 43 females, and 3 non-specified.

Of that, about 77% of males accepted, 22% declined.
While 79% of females accepted, and 21% declined.

For the class break down:
Warriors - 9 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Paladins - 8 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Death Knight - 4 total, 75% accepted, 25% declined.
Shamans - 3 total, 66% accepted, 33% declined.
Hunter - 11 total, 81% accepted, 19% declined.
Monk - 7 total, 85% accepted, 15% declined.
Rogue - 10 total, 60% accepted, 40% declined.
Druid - 10 total, 70% accepted, 30% declined.
Demon Hunter - 5 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Priest - 12 total, 92% accepted, 8% declined.
Warlocks - 5 total, 60% accepted, 30% declined.
Mage - 14 total, 65% accepted, 36% declined.
Clowns - 1 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Trees - 1 total, 0% accepted, 100% declined.

As for races:
Humans - 29 total, 86% accepted, 14% declined.
Night Elves - 19 total, 95% accepted, 5% declined.
Dwarves - 3 total, 66% accepted, 33% declined.
Draenei - 6 total, 83% accepted, 17% declined.
Gnomes - 2 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Void Elves - 16 total, 63% accepted, 37% declined.
Kul Tiran - 4 total, 100% accepted, 0 declined.
Worgen - 10 total, 60% accepted, 40% declined.
Pandaren - 3 total, 66% accepted, 33% declined.
Dark Iron Dwarves - 3 total, 33% accepted, 66% declined.
Mechagnomes - 0 total.
Lightforged - 0 total.

We also sampled two Stone Drakes (both accepted), one bird (accepted), and a mobile tree (declined).

44 players reacted with an emote, a question, or some form of reaction, while 56 players offered no reaction.

They say it takes 100 eggs to make an omelette, and it was a personal pleasure of mine & my fellow researchers to gather this egg-cellent data from the wonderful Wyrmrest Accord Alliance community. This data now belongs to you, WRA community, and we look forward to more rigorous scientific research in the future.

Apes, together, strong.

This Knowledge shall pave the way for future scholarly pursuits regarding the World of Warcraft cognitive landscape.

There is nothing that is beyond our reach with this egg research as our first, bold, brave step foward.

I see that the darkshore STEM program is begining to bear fruits, it interested the local kaldorei populace in the scientific method.

Very proud of these results.

As always, for science!

I don’t post here often, but when I do, my hand is forced. The resulting tally of both race and class breakdown are incorrect values. As it stands the race total is 98 counts INCLUDING THE TREES AND DRAKES, FURTHERMORE the Class breakdown is short of 1 count.

I cannot believe the audacity here.

It is Heisenberg Hemingway’s egg uncertainty principle.

Thank you for this egg in these trying times.

The ‘Bird’ and ‘Clown’ races were both omitted from the public posting as they were fun but ultimately distracting data points, likewise for the ‘Tree’ class.

The information posted here is not an exhaustive detailing of our findings but rather a convenient snap shot for easy digestion.

Good data, can confirm my out-in-the-field research also shows that warriors love eggs.

Am warrior. Can confirm.

We fixed it, don’t worry.

Solved the discrepancy and now it is more accurate.

Understandable! Have a great day

…But why?

This furthers the science of egg greatly and I eagerly await your next topic of study.
