WWmonk needs more dragonball z

Yes monasteries and different animal stances and chi and inner peace and serenity and balance.

Definitely think of these things when thinking of fighting games and anime

The mastery is based on doing combos not the actual class and lore itself. Or did you forget the entirety of MoP or the class hall quests in Legion?

What if we used the cestials as a power up buff form like Naruto going Sage Mode.

Did you forget the Xuen tournament which has the entire cast of Street Fighter show up in a homage?

Not to mention the entire story of wow monks is based on Karate ala Ryu/Ken/Akuma not kung fu. The Okinawans where enslaved by the Samurai. The Okinawans were disarmed by the Samurai. The Okinawans created Karate to fight back unarmed.

And again the literal people who made the wow monks say it is 100% based on Street Fighter.

I’ve been asking them to do it for years. Such a simple change, too.

They need to double down on it. Give me Akuma’s Kongou Kokuretsu Zan as an aoe super. Give me wavedash into EWGF. Shoot, this character is named after Garuda from SF.

Gum GUUUM *insert any of Luffy’s moves *

Sounds fun.

While we are at it with our wish list can we have a talent to make our kitty permeant or at least last for longer than a few seconds? He is so cool!

No. Less/no pets and summons is what the whole thread began with. If pets are your thing then go for one of classes that have pets, don’t bring that evil here.

While this would be better than summoning a pet in itself, I feel that this still goes against the theme of.monks being about inner power, summoning the power of another being is still outside of that. The celestials are masters of the monks, not their source of power, they teach the monks, not lend them their power.

About changes I would like to see FG inspired.

Since now Touch of death has a cleave effect (and yeah, TOD talents are kinda stupid, but they’re here) I think the skill should be rebranded to “Death strike” or something similar, and the animation be something like ryo’s tenchi haohken:

Add as well a tracking high damaging multi hit move that cant be snared (kinda like bladestorm) with an animation like Ryuuko Ranbu:

Very cool :sunglasses: ideas

I find it funny that paladins got a combo attack, but a few ideas to make the monk feel more fighter game.

  1. give monks an ability like templars strikes. If you use jab twice in less then the 5 seconds it still counts towards the combo strikes.
  2. move blackout combo to the class tree for more of the combos.
  3. the capstones on class tree shouldn’t be statues but stances that give you buffs for what your stance your in.
  4. The mastery could be each attack is a small buff for the next attacks like rising sun kick gives the next attack fire damage, Fists of fury gives the next attack an explosion, blackout kick gives a dot, and so on. Mastery increases the number of attacks and or damage.
  5. give whirling dragon punch a choice node for an uppercut as the alternative for single target damage, like from streetfighter.
  6. This would be the most work to pull off. Have a few set combos like jab, jab, BoK, RSK, BoK would do a combo that has something at the end, a combo finisher like whirling dragon punch or like the warriors hero talent Demolish.

Would really like it if they play into this kind of style for the shado-pan hero talents. I feel like the celestial hero talents will be like a beast master hunter (how I feel when thinking about it). Would love one of the hero talents for mistweaver to give and attack that does some damage and healing like paladins holy prism or there new hero talent herald of the sun’s sunspots. Really jealous that a healer that isn’t damage to healing is getting all the cool damage and healing abilities. They are melee healers but the amount of attacks that paladins have that either do damage to heals or just damage and heals is ridiculous. Might main on next expansion depending on what monks get as hero talents.

Paladins can grab 2 of their 3 cap stones. They get divine toll + buff as a capstone, which chains interupts, holy shocks (that then activate glimmer talents), ect

Monks get crappy statues, that once a pack needs to be moved one time (not even joking, the range on the statues is SMALL) you lose any and all value

Imagine pressing divine toll, but the second you target moved more that 5 feet away divine toll would be unable to hit said target. This is how the dps statue kinda functions.
The healing statue is niche, only works with soom focused builds that a few mw players use. The brewmasters dont even use tank statue…

Netero from HxH wants to say to add the following:
100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva

I’d main a monk if they got some cool chi/ki spells, and some cool transendence type of attacks and abilities.

Chi Burst should be reworked into an “empowered” cast like Evokers have and function as a Chi Kamehameha in honor of Akira Toriyama.

This would let people have something closer to Chi Explosion from the past, with each new level costing an extra Chi.

I’ll take DBZ/anime crap over this pet/statue pokemon brawler that has rune of power garbage

Hell yeah! We can redesign serenity for WW monks and make it like Kaio-ken multiplier

Nah. We need more Iron Fist.

Neat glowing attack animations that look impactful.

Also your character has to constantly yell that they are the Iron Fist everytime you engage in combat.

With the way WW is going, they’ll take your idea as “summons a statue of an iron fist that slowly floats around punching things”

I hated that IronFist series so much on netflix. That lead actor had less martial arts skill than the made for youtube original cast of cobra kai…

When a series made originally for youtube with zero budget, has a better display of martial arts, than a million dollar budget backed by Marvel “Ironfist”. So much protentional for a series and it was wasted on a actor with zero marital arts training.

How did Marvel cast a guy with zero training to play the best martial arts master in the entire MCU? The dude could not even kick above his waist in that first season.

With the current devs working on WW monk I can actually see this being a thing. Or it will be a new clone we summon. You cast summon Ironfist and get a actor with no martial arts training throwing sloppy kicks and fists with their thumb in a position that would break it off if they ever hit anything.

You are making me want to go watch it now just to look for these areas in the fight scenes lol. You know anything that Disney produces is going to be C tier at best.
