WW very low dps in Ny'Alotha

Hey everyone,

I’m a relatively new player (less than 2 years, 4 months on my WW monk) and I’m trying to understand something. I really dig my monk and I usually do well with it. But recently, I tried to start raiding a bit with my guild. And my dps is much, MUCH lower than usual when I fight bosses in Ny’Alotha. So low it’s actually a problem. There were these mobs by the dozen where the outside part of Ny begins, I fork out 75 k dps there without batting an eyelid. Get to the boss, I have trouble going over 10-15 k. I researched guides, talents, corruptions etc. I don’t understand how or what makes my dps drop that dramatically. I mean, even when I’m chilling lazily elsewhere, I’ll do a 20-25 k, so 10 k is just baffling. I’m not the kind of person who goes for minimum effort in an instance either.

Any suggestions, please?

Switch your forum character to your monk and post in the monk forum asking for help. The players there can look at your monk character and give you advice.

If you have your own logs or someone has logs of your raids, try wowanalyzer. Its a site that will go through your logs and see what you might be hitting and when, missed CD opportunities, time you spent out of melee and whatnot. Its a great tool to find the things you need to focus on. Has helped me tons. I usually pick one or two things that it suggests, when I’ve got that down, I’ll reevaluate and improve the next thing.
