You don’t need to avoid haste. One of our best trinkets is Galecallers for PvE. In high amounts haste items can be beneficial in the form of cooldown reduction and resource generation.
In PvP one of our top abilities in healing/damage/chi generators is Reverse Harm and directly benefits from haste and ascension.
The trinket and FoX are such high amounts of haste that it’s beneficial. But I would never take the same amount of haste over crit, mastery, and certainly not vers. It’s not useless, but it’s our worst secondary stat in general.

Haste is our worst stat but aim to have roughly 10% it makes your life easier.
then follow in priority.
Vers > Mastery > Crit > Haste
anything with Vers/mastery combo is considered ideal item until you need to raise your crit, to have crit mastery or crit vers.
This is good advice on paper when looking at a default template. But, as it happens haste happens to be incredibly valuable for me coming in as my second best stat close to vers, and all secondary stats are currently simming higher than even agi for me.
Moral of this is to sim your stat weights regularly on raidbots to get a more accurate picture of what exactly your characters stat weights actually are, as they vary wildly between people and gear levels.
I’d just direct sim and ignore stat weights entirely unless you really need them for whatever reason, like if your guild needs a rough BiS list quickly.
would you say that Kim’bul or Bwonsamdi loa buff is better for wind walker pvp and pve… just wondering what pple have tried since its a 5 day cd

From what I heard its not particularly amazing and I don’t choose it because I’m not sure if it’ll break cc.
Unless I take Bwonsamdi again I’ll probably run paku

100% agree! Just responding to OP’s question about stat weights specifically.
General guideline is vers mast, and sprinkle in some haste if you feel the need to. Personally, i prefer mast vers just because gear is easier to get that way, buuuut the difference is pretty subtle.
Eventually you probably wont have to worry about haste too much just because of high level necks. And TBH, you prolly don’t even need high neck levels to neglect haste.
Once you get fully optimized Azerite traits of 3 OPS, 1 FoX, 1 DoC, 1 GotD, you basically don’t have to worry about resources/downtime. I’ve noticed myself occasionally doubling BoKs just to burn chi to get RSK and FoF back up.
