Most places say go Vers>Master>Crit>>>Haste
Being that 95% of us go Kyrian, would it be best to focus on some crit instead of pumping full mastery? With Pelagos giving us a pretty big amount of mastery won’t there be diminishing returns?

Nah, the spec is so poorly designed that you must choose these stat weights because the damage increase is not random. Vers is essentially mastery for WW, and the only way youll ever do decent damage is with a stacked mastery and Vers character. If you want to crit all the time get keefers sky reach, I use that one for world questing and solo content like the tower. IF you build crit on your monk over vers and mastery youll be giving up to RNG. Theres obviously a balance though, you still want some critical strike.
Stats gained from sources outside of the items your actually wearing will not DR.
Do it in addition to rather than instead of. Just look back on the old example where someone asked what does more damage,
20% crit
20% mastery
10% crit + 10% mastery
The same concept is being applied with and without keefers. After hitting the DR on Mastery/Vers you can focus on adding crit but your not looking to be replacing stats with crit unless you are leaning too heavily on something.
My character in PvP gear for example is sitting at
36% Vers (after PvP trinket bonus)
13% DR roughly
25% Mastery
19% Crit
Ideally, I’d sink the 6% haste I have into Crit if I could which is nothing more than replacing my Haste/Vers slots with Crit/Vers whenever it becomes available. Each ilvl upgrade would just bump my mastery/vers/crit up slightly each time.
