Which is great for PvE contents with good survival and low apm and good in both raid M+/raids and open world (rares/mini bosses) and also what conveants/race ?
WW monk is a better choice than Arcane Mage…pretty much in every scenario

WW monk is quite survivable, especially because of Touch of Karma. But they are relatively high APM because Monks have a 1 second GCD and although they may not have as many hotkeys as a class like a Holy Paladin… they clicky click a lot.
Arcane is lower, but in the grand scheme of things WW is still in the bottom 50% of all DPS classes for APM
Like you said, 1 second GCD but then you have a 4-second FoFs mixed in there to slow everything down.

ww monks are gods. you can’t go wrong.

Arcane Mage cov: Kyrian
Arcane Mage can deal some pretty insane burst… but outside of these burst windows is just okay. So this makes them very good at soloing difficult mobs/elites as they can pop all CD’s and destroy. The only downside is not really having a heal and only having shields(there is a conduit which will ice block heal which I do use for this reason).
They have good mobility and a near constant speed buff(especially in old content).
They have good AoE with Arcane Blast but this requires you to be in melee range. As mentioned, they aren’t the most durable.

Anyway if you do go WW monk, necrolord is the only logical choice, unfortunately. There’s not much room for the others. It’s one of THOSE classes.

Survivability would go to Monk
Both are fine in M+ AND RAIDS depending on what level of content you are doing… but WW Monk probably has the upper hand in M+ BUT could be wrong.
Open world both kinda are iffy but Monk is really good there though Arcane can deal some proper dmg.
Covenants just check wowhead I guess depending on the content you plan to do as well as race.
I hope that cov ability dies in a fire and never returns
not class fantasy related at all and works against our mastery in aoe situations…really really dumb ability.

Yeah me too.
I’ve stuck with Kyrian the whole time on my main and I don’t feel like it has hurt my numbers that bad.
So WW Monk > Arcane Mage for low APM ?

This is a good thread that discusses APM. Yes, WW Monk has a higher APM than Arcane Mage. It looks like the WW number is a little off, the link in the OP says 51
So Arcane Mage but also higher dps parse in raid/m+ than WW ?

Luckily it’s a good spec on specifically Anduin but if you wanna get invited to stuff currently your best bet is WW. Both are pretty high apm tho.
Really last time i look at SimC that arcane mage is low
I don’t know why Arcane is good on specifically Anduin, all I know is firedup plays it on that fight and that fight alone. If I had to guess it has to do with burst damage.
Also: never bother with simcraft, it’s not actually useful.
Arcane right now is better than WW, and might stay that way through s4. for DF who knows.
god i love this copium and my shield that is barely bigger than a disc PWS on 1.5m cd.
I play arcane and windwalker but I mainly play as a caster anyway and not much a fan for melee.
Yet no self heal’s though ;( and also rogue’s fav food in PvP)
