do they matter?
Prolly not
Bonedust brew 33% dmg nerf may hurt…
Spinning Crane Kick nerf will hurt the monks who solely rely on it lol. I see this ability as their number one dmg ability in details… which is funny.
All in all I don’t think its anything to drastic… the BDB nerf I think is the thing that will affect most, as well as fleshcraft nerf against rogue comps… but that’s baseline for everyone so…
I’m not too worried
I think they’re modest. It looks like a lot of damage got removed but that’s because it did, BDB ability was double dipping on crits and Dance Procs were turning into a clown fiesta.
Nobody I’ve talked to though really seemed to enjoy fishing for procs and I don’t enjoy Necrolord at all so I was hoping for more but it is what it is.
Very little changes with balance overall I’m pretty sure.
are you going to try venthyr?
Not a fan of the soulbinds but I think I might.
While I feel like I’m in the small group here… I do like the changes.
Necro will still be best.
Few of us are playing around with some weird kyrian & venthyr builds though to see what’s up. It’s tiring & boring to fish for proc 24/7
Played some today and I felt incredibly weak. I hope it is not just a perception but securing kills was much harder
All the nerf did was make the oneshot less instant and reactable. Doesn’t change what you’re doing or how you’re interacting with anyone in any game.
Just play necro until meta shifts away from it. This is the unfortunate truth.
I think the key is to just survive through burst windows, cooldown trade with enemies sparringly… then wait for enemy trinkets and defensive cooldowns to make a go. This sounds like common knowledge, and it is… but with how squishy Monks can be its important to atleast survive a bit. Some classes make this exceptionally hard to do. I faced Prot Paladin/MM Hunter premade in some skirms this morning. It was brutal to say the least lol. Survive burst, know which talents and pvp talents to run according to situation. You can even change conduits pre-arena if you feel necessary. I think you can atleast . Just my two cents.
I think so… I still run it and it does its job. Weapons of order can be good too, but with longer CD. I would be open to trying it, I don’t think it’s bad. But as far as meta I think BDB is still better. I guess it can come down to personal preference. In S1 it was fun running invokers legendary and Weapons of Order and punching through walls. Now I just apply BDB and keefers crit and like… spray & pray ig. Lol. Jokes
