WW is hot garbage in PvP

When you get the jump and have all your CDs you can really knock the sh*t out of people. When you don’t, well, you just kind of fall over. It’s too squishy.

It’s almost like they nerfed the everliving crap out of the spec. Several times.

I think this would be actually interesting to know. I myself have unfortunately strated with WoW with BfA. I would have enjoyed to experience monks in their history^^

Well if you insist.

Transcendence/Port basically got its CD doubled from 25 sec to 45.
Paralysis’ CD also basically got doubled because it used to be 20 or 25.
Expel Harm got nerfed uber hard. It’s CD was increased by 50%, and its damage was more or less reduced by 90% while also having its healing split across like 3-4 different talents.
Nimble Brew (Basically Trinket) got removed.
Healing Elixirs got removed from WW only. It’s on the talent tree for BrM and MW.
Sparring got removed. It was passive 15% parry.
Tiger Palm Armor Penetration got removed.
SotWL got nerfed when they gave it back to us this xpac. Then it got nerfed in PvP.
Thunderfist was nerfed.
There were the nerfs during DF pre-patch.
Diffuse Magic got nerfed. It used to be a 90% magic DR. It’s 60 now.
Karma got nerfed to hell. It used to be 100% of our health pool as a shield and didn’t do reduced damage.
FoF Stun got sent to the shadowrealm.
Double FSK was in the game for a brief time before it got deleted.
Roll/Chi Torpedo clearing snares got deleted.
Spinning Fire Blossom (Ranged Skill shot root) got deleted.
Ring of Peace got neutered. It used to be an AoE Disarm and Silence for like 4ish seconds on a 45 sec CD before it became area denial.
Leg Sweep CD got increased by 15 sec.
Fort Brew used to not be a 6min CD.
Zen Meditation is now BrM only.
Grapple Weapon used to be baseline.
Rushing Tiger Palm got deleted from the game, but came back worse as Skyreach.
Then Blizz forced Xuen on us, who happens to break Paralysis and similar CCs.
Also RIP that WW movement speed buff.
Then there’s whatever the hell Blizz did to ToD to mess up its health detection.
Serenity CD snapshotting also got deleted.

EDIT: Missed a few

Good Karma got stolen by Evokers.
Tiger Palm used to be 20% cheaper.
Energizing Elixir got deleted.

Is this a thing? Seriously, tell me it’s actually a thing. I don’t pvp much, but I always try to jump in when a tank I like is actually doing pretty well, even if it’s mostly just for giggles.

Thank you for the list. I guess there are even more to it as I read about the earlier Zen Meditation that used to be a Raid CD.

I blast through people and feel immortal in BGs/WPVP as BRM

Healing was also significantly reduced even with all the talent’s

Don’t forget doesn’t last nearly as long either

Oh and let’s not forget about healing orbs, I miss you my sweet sweet healing orbs

Also teleport heal and good karma removals for some reason

It’s got great disruption and actually can do well in arena format as a disrupter (like we use to be able to do as ww) for some of the squishier targets

The Windwalker stood proudly as the quintessential leather brawler like the combat rogue until it got completely stripped and robbed with the introduction of Legion and Demon Hunter. Blizz for some reason felt what made it so badass had to be shared with the other classes…

I used to love healing orbs. Just use the @curser macro and drop orbs while running.
Now thats how ww monk would be able to kite again, if we could pre orb up a pillar then fight, port to instant full hp heal, back into fight.

I wanted to discuss this idea about Dampen Harm before adding it in my summary thread.
If it actually does make sense it would be nice if someone of us wrote it in a topic in the PTR forums.

What if they made Dampen Harm simply a flat 35 or 40% Damage reduction? That way they wouldn’t need to try and fix it and it would be an actually useful CD for it’s 2 minutes, with all monk’s specs.
