WW Changes First Look

Yeah but tab targeting to apply mark is awful. It’s not as bad with SotWL and Rushing Jade but without it, our ramp is cumbersome. I would rather they get rid of MotC and just ramp up SCK.

While I’m wishing for things, maybe remove the constraints on WDP that both RSK and FoF are on CD. It’s very frustrating to start the cast only to have RSK come off CD. I don’t know why this is still a thing. I love WDP and the proc.

We have plenty to concentrate on, this doesn’t need to be one of them.

So you’re trading the 2nd or 3rd RSK (depending on RNG) of every FoF cycle for an SCK during big pulls? That’s fair, but wouldn’t we not want to delay FoF?

I agree and it’s because it’s not worth the management anymore. Back when MotC pulled its weight you would give everything a little love tap. There was a time where there was no mark cap for MotC and it gave 50% extra pew pew a mark.

Yea… feel like this should have been addressed a while ago.

Yes, something like that. In our m+ build remember RSK isn’t fully talented, further diminishing its value.

Even dropping RSK unless using for WDP, our AoE priority is very tight and unforgiving. In this sense I fully agree that the usage conditions of WDP is simply bad. But WDP is also used in ST situations. The usage conditions make a lot more sense in ST situations.

It would be nice if we had a competitive talent option to WDP. I’ve tried jadefire stomp and whilst I prefer its game play, it isn’t really competitive and has its own bug(s). Namely, the primary hit only has a 5 yard range. You can find yourself using it when the primary hit is not in range. Blizzard should at least condense it to 2 talents by removing jadefire fists. The capstone affects the primary hit becomes the initial choice. Even with these things fixed and improved, I think it still needs a baseline power bump.

Oh, one very important thing to recognise is that by removing mark of the crane, one of the fundamental uses of SEF is removed. When the Legion rework came in, SEF boosting total crane marks was a much stronger consideration. It added value to SEF and made it harder to remove or choose the then alternative (serenity). Removing crane marks removes that QOL benefit from SEF. It therefore opens the door for a competitive alternative - something sorely needed.

I at least hope this is part of a 2-step plan to rework WW by creating a SEF alternative.

I could make an argument that because SEF had to spread mark of the crane it caused a lot of toxic accidental pulls and behavior. They have a ton of code in SEF, I don’t see it going away. Our clones might focus our target now instead of us having to tell them again which one to focus on.

I won’t miss Mark of the Crane as long as SCK is buffed to be competitive. With a drive to make our mastery a worthwhile stay, that could be a good thing.

There are still problems with SEF even if you made them stay in formation. They may not be facing exactly the same way, buffs, failure to provide a damage modifier, and probably some other things. Your point about all the effort spent meaning Blizzard wants to retainit though is entirely true though. I can’t see it being removed outright.

I’m hoping to see some reintroduction of serenity or TEB as a competing talent option.
