been farming these mobs at the hinterlands for 5 hours and our group has not seen a single drop… not one!! went to ashenvale and there ws one drop in 2 hours of us killing pretty steady!!!
this needs to be changed.
there are exponentially more people doing this quest from original classic they need to up the drop rate this is insane.

Its a really crappy questline.
the point is this is sod so we are supposed to try things out and there are hundreds of people who have rep for this quest line but now the rest of the quest is still set up for maybe a handful or people on the whole server

when wow head says its a 25% drop rate from a certain mob and you spend 12 hours in a group killing them without a single drop its clearly more than rng
I finished this part of the quest in wotlk classic, which had buffed drop rates, and it still took me forever. Good luck with the grind.

Yet you seem to be struggling with it.
So to clear that up real fast, the reason why it says it’s a 25% drop rate is because someone got it within 4 kills. So ye, it’s a 1/4 (25%) drop rate however when you look at the other two it’s a 3% drop rate with over 1k looted for both oracle and stalker. So it’s a 3% drop rate, more than likely, for all of the mobs. Otherwise we’d all be done by now.
Last night we got three drops in about an hour and a half in ashenvale, three drops in hinterlands in 20 mins, and 2 drops (I already had mine from before) in Feralas in about another hour. Really wasn’t that bad.
