What do you mean u can use it to the following
Bursting shot a warrior after charge
Knock people out in blade edge arena
U can use bursting to knock people into your traps if u miss them
U can use bursting to knock monks out of their rolls
U can use to knock caster and interrupt their casts and the list goes on

I think it’s a great defensive tool, but for some reason it misses the target 80% of the time for me.
It has a short range and it DR’s with other similar effects. Are you playing with a druid that’s using Ursol vortex / typhoon, or the priest knock? Because if you are then it won’t work while on DR still.
I think it’s pretty good, could benefit from some tracking or something though, if you are strafing and not actually full turret facing directly at the target it’s pretty easy to miss it, I honestly cannot come up with a spell that is more directionally based .
It never works, like ever. they can be right on top of me bascially looks like were kissing and it just wiffs. I agree, it could be great. IF IT EVER WORKED. feel like 30% of hunter spells just dont work like 80% of the time. FD with strata into camo. someone shoots me out of stealth from across the room. Trap, sorry… monk is a pet class now, so you trap a tiger instead. its infuriating.
Knock back effects don’t work if there’s a slight incline. It might look like it “didn’t work,” but in reality they just collided with terrain right away. So you always need a position where the terrain is flat with nothing behind it, preferably where the terrain goes down behind it.
Like the top of stairs knocking someone towards the bottom on Mugumbala, or not to close the “lip” of the wood bridge on blades edge. If they are to close they hit the lip and don’t get pushed off. Dalaran sewers is also a good example, get close to the middle between box/stairs and knock people off to maximize their time to walk back up.
It doesn’t seem to DR with explosive trap in my experience. however it seems to have an incredibly small range, it can be frustrating at times
Yeah bursting shot doesn’t dr with any knocks it’s just very easy to miss it, you need to be incredibly precise with it

OP Here< Ya, but why… why not make it reliable instead of something that works 30% of the time. Give it a 5-10 yard range and a decent cone. currently, it feels like they have to literally be inside your character model to work and I play on 30ms connection. Shelving my hunter… been 1800+ every season and I can’t even break 1400 on the hunter. power to the guys that make it work, but I’m done with this crap.

as long as we’re complaining about knockbacks, can typhoon get its ancient tidal wave animation back, as well as a better knockback distance than 5 feet?
According to blizzards own sticky post in this thread no. I would have to test it, but sometimes it seems to DR properly and other times I could swear I’ve used them both within a short period of time and had them work.
The funny thing is Ring of Peace is on the “knockback” DR list, but we all know it doesn’t seem to DR with anything or even itself lol.

When I play Prot I use Dragon Roar to do the same its amazing, knocking a Ret off Blood Elf Tower with wings but they can’t fly!
What about their 1 shot double tap from stealth? /Eyeroll
Double tap aimed shotting got nerfed hardcore. The double tapped aimed shot is half of the main aimedshot, and aimed shot got nerfed by 15% overall, health pools also have gone up dramatically (full gear is nearly double first week hp)
Max damage you’re getting off from that is 15k, maybe we can bump it to 20k with careful aimed or something but that talent sucks
No good player double taps from stealth and if you died to a random one wasted like that you’re playing incorrectly
Even when you could double tap aimed shots still almost never was used in the opener because that’s such an inconsistent and unreliable waste of all your damage by not setting up resonatting crit bonus
Back in Legion maybe. Right now, it’s one of my favorite abilities. It gives me two knockbacks in PvP and one in PvE. I use it all the time, but you have to be right on top of the target or you will miss. Somebody suggested knocking a Monk out of a roll with it (lol); good luck with that.
I extremely grateful to have a PvE knockback though.
