Like everyone has mentioned a HUGE chunk of ED went to Classic on Grobbulus. Ive noticed a couple people have returned to retail but once the new raids open on Classic , ED will become a Ghost town again.
I honestly feel like 8.3 fixed WPVP a bit. The scarcity of daily targets (like rares) encourages it naturally. The invasions and that Nazjatar PvP thing werenāt bad on paper but in practice one side typically dominated the other. Plus with emissary quests there were enough that it was usually just more expedient to go to another one than fight over that specific one.
Been getting into way more fights with like 10-15 people than before.
Haā¦ Still have spit on rapid fire?
That was all hand typed, and only happens when gin and gankers meet.
Seriously though Iāve been on the server just shy of 3 years and honestly - probably the most combat Iāve seen moment to moment with Alliance in awhile.
In Legion yeah you had groups taking over port points but typically it was a live and let live sort of arrangement. I actually remember very distinctly, because it was hilarious, several Alliance players not reacting at all to me blasting a Worgen Death Knight off into the bottomless pit. I was patiently waiting my turn and he attacked me. Obvious rookie as you just dont fight Priests next to perilous ledges.
I would really want a return to the World Defense system. Thereās so many interesting points in the world to have fights but youāll never know half of itās under attack unless you happen to have an alt there.
One of the most satisfying one on ones Iāve ever had happened in Thrallmar and I only noticed the Alliance attacking it because I happened to be there for a random mog item a quest gave out.
this realm is amazing lol wtf is this dude talking about
Just repeating what heās heard, not what heās seen or done.
Like most of the people on this realm do these days.
This game/realm, any aspect of it, is 100% what YOU make it.
It would be nice if we could get more RPPVP going into. But obviously you want the sides to be on equal enough footing for it to be fun and thatās difficult. Getting more than a dozen people to agree on a time, place and ground rules is a hurdle in itās own right. But with the HoA, essences and now corruption stuff some players are going to be able to obliterate more casual ones. Like itās not uncommon for me to see toons Iāve hundreds of thousands more health than.
I think we need to experiment with the party sync more. I initially thought this was a good work around for heavily phased content areas like the Plaguelands but if it lets you replay quests with friends at any level it presumably crunches your stats.
Ideally perhaps we could get a Korrakās Revenge arrangement going? The dedicated players would still have the advantages they earned with essences and corrupted gear but itād also allow for casual players to be more than ankle biters.
It is stuff like this though that makes me understand why people went to Classic for WPvP. Like I got up to 52, and two other 50s toons and I took out a level 60 with at least some Raid Tier items. Tough but we took him down. In BFA though? A bunch of 112s trying to take on a well geared 120 would be like throwing snowballs at a grizzly bear.
For me though caster classes are just so much better in Live. I fought a Mage in Classic and it felt like a WW2 tank battle. Each of us slowly maneuvering and stopping to fire. Plus while thereās technically more spells I barely used most of them in minute to minute gameplay and dungeons were data entry levels of tedium. No hate if you just prefer that but I am praying SL manages to strike a balance between the pros and cons of Classic and Live.
Ok tough guy, put the keyboard down.
You all must be new hereā¦
Iāllāve been here for three years come about June I think and Iāve no earthly idea who any of yaāll are. Which is fine I presume thatās mutual. Itās a big game. Lotta different circles to run in.
hi ther maekur
i am gonna be 8 and a half next month so you wanna fight me BRO
Server is ghost town. There is no guild v guild wpvp. The only wpvp that happens is in gangs of 5 people (that easily get contested) or it is just a crz show.
Then on top of that the rp community is slowly dying. There is no walk up rp hub to just chill at. Then the only events that do happen are the same copy pasta events as usual, with few people trying to break the boundaries. But inb4 the community champions try to tell me otherwise shrug
I mean yeah a lot of thatās just accurate. Lot of people are just done with BFA and I donāt blame them. Seriously I got a nice upgrade for my offspec last night but I still havenāt equipped it because the azerite traits are different and Iāve to rearrange the rest of them first. Itās like a damn fox, chicken, worm puzzle every other time. I cannot wait for this system to go away.
As for the RP events - yeah the popular ones get repeated because theyāre popular. If you donāt care for them thatās fine you are more than welcome to come up with your own. But declaring the RP community dead when there was an event attended by over a dozen people just yesterday night is, silly really.
You ARE so wrong that your wrongness is akin to a SLAP IN THE FACE.
We, the community, have a weekly bar night(on a Tuesday).
We have all of TDCās events.
We have the story telling event every once in a while.
You cannot say with a straight face that the community is slowly dying.
I said dying, learn to read.
Attended by people in the guild that hosted it. With 3 people outside that said guild walking around(if you think in wrong look at the screenshots in another thread). No wonder why people moved to wra. If I have to show up to a cliquey event to have bad rp why show up? Especially since I can just log onto wra and rp in org or smc.
Again you could always attend or invent your own. You know, be proactive about the situation instead of just being snide on the forums.
Well, Iām having fun here at any rate. Sorry if you arenāt. If youāre willing Iād be more than happy to try to hear you out and collaborate on an idea you have. Weāve the cards weāre dealt and itās on us to make the most of them.
Why bother creating original content and being the change you want to see, when you can be some guy complaining about stuff on the internet, and being mad that other people arenāt using their time to create that content for you amIrite?
