It sounds good but everyone says its dead has anyone tested it?
When you use Enveloping Mist on a target, every time it ticks it has a chance to duplicate the additional healing bonus (30-40%) onto a nearby target at the current duration left.
So, if there are 3 seconds left on Enveloping Mist on a target, the duplicate healing bonus effect will also be 3 seconds.
I use it in PvP, but when the Expel Harm TFT changes come I may drop it for Focused Thunder instead.
I mean that sounds decent wonder why people don’t use it in pve
I use it. I like it. But I don’t do the meta builds
Probably because in a raid it’s unpredictable and usually jumps on someone who doesn’t have ReM and isn’t your direct target.
It might make sense in smaller groups like dungeons or arenas.
I used it last season but it’s irrelevant now with the tier bonus
Essentially it will give you 1-2 extra mist wraps on the party in M+ by just keeping up EvM on the tank
A general assumption I found when using it was if I have 1 EvM active then mending proliferation will be active on 1-2 other people
So it was pretty strong just boosting your overall healing by just keeping up your maintenance rotation.
In raid it kind of worked too if you were doing a big EVM yuulon since you would basically have mist wrap on 2x as many people and that bonus healing is nice.
However, right now there are just better talents for raid too because we cast a lot fewer EvMs
I’ve been using it and it’s actually a little op in my opinion. So here’s the thing.
Healing from fistweaving used to NOT be affected by the enveloping mist healing boost. When they changed it to be spread healing it now gets boosted by enveloping.
Proliferation applies a secondary buff with the same healing bonus to OTHER targets when enveloping ticks. It only applies to injured allies and not full health allies. Its duration is based on the current or max duration of the enveloping mist (I forget which).
If you enveloping and extend it with rising mist to 11 seconds, it starts applying a 11s proliferation. If misty peaks procs a 2 second enveloping, that procs a 2 second proliferation.
So… You keep enveloping rolling on the tank. It spits out the healing buff to injured allies. You continue dpsing forever and fw does almost all of your healing. You’re also pooping out RM for free which procs tier too to further boost fw.
Now heres another bit of op tech. The healing bonus from proliferation does NOT increase enveloping healing but it DOES stack with the enveloping healing boost.
So if you have enveloping mists you have 1.4x healing, if you also have proliferation you have 1.4 x 1.4 increased healing. Then if you proc tier you have 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.5 increased healing. Altogether you can get a casual 1 million expel harm lmao. Test it .
The caveat here is that proliferation does not proc on allies with full health NOR allies that already have enveloping mist.
So ab ally can only get proliferation BEFORE enveloping, then get enveloping to get the double stack of healing bonuses.
I just do a typical FW build but I give up 1 minute chi ji in order to grab proliferation. And it makes for some very laid back keys where I’m just a 4th DPS lol.
I’m also not a MW that does the meta style of healing though, even for raids. I’ve been a haste stacking enveloping spammer since bfa and it’s still nuts today if you want a different style of healing try it
Just because it’s not being used doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad or useless. I would but there are obviously better choices to talent into in or nearby. Give me a few more talent points and obviously I would consider it then.
Oh dang. I love Mending Proliferation. It’s really cool. In m+ I can cast 2 Enveloping Mists and the whole party has a +healing bonus. It’s really really good, because then Vivifies become as strong as Revivals, especially after I cash in on the Secret Infusion talent for that +15% versatility
Even in raids, it gives yulon a nice boost because she heals folks on every cast of Enveloping Mists.
I’ve always liked Mistweaver, but I fell in love last season and that talent is part of the reason. I don’t have any alts leveled right now, so been only on holy paladin for healing which I like too. It’s just I really miss the monk <3
