WTB Patch for Artisan's Acuity

So yeah. Apparently even mid expansion this material thing is still a pain in the butt to get and is nigh impossible to farm. When we gonna you know, finally lift the massive time gated-waste of time restrictions on this material and just let us freely farm or obtain MORE of it. Mind boggling this hasn’t even been looked at by the developers.

Beyond the first couple of months, I don’t recall AA being an issue. Only 6 months in, I am swimming in it now.

I dunno bud, I have more than I know what to do with on all my crafters.

Patron orders are how you “farm acuity.” Half or more of my patron orders on all of my crafters are always acuity rewards.

Do the patron orders.

make it a skinner go join a skinning group for a few hours and you will have 100s of it on top of the 300 you get upfront when you first do the quest on your character at this point there is no reason you cant technically farm what you need to get all tools after you finish with the catch up skinning points drop it and enjoy

How is that going to help your BS/ Alchemy/JC, etc characters?

lol

new character if you are maxed out two seasons in and still confused how to get it then there is no helping you the point is to drop skinning afterwards

You switch back.

The real issue is people wanting recrafts. Especially the players who dont do professions, they are completely reliant on the recrafter to provide such material.

a player with no professions can get 300 right off the bat free by picking a profession up and doing the quick quest also if you really need acuity as a non crafter pick up enchanting the points for enchanting are basically free go d/e siren isle rings 6 a week thats 40 acuity for no real cost

I guess so. I can’t imagine the portion of players that are doing that. Prob count them on one hand.

This is a Blizzard design philosophy, at least so it seems to me. They want these kinds of benefits to go to players that are actually PLAYING these chrs, not just “raid-logging” them. Frankly, I agree with them.

I have been hoping already for a use for it - I have 36k across all my characters now and that is after getting all the rare equipment and all the profession recipes. I have been skipping the patron orders that reward it for a month now.

I’m in a similar situation but I’m sitting at about 12k.

I have purchased everything with them (for all professions) except a small number of things from Undermine.

Those people could just craft it from scratch…no AA needed

Artisans Acuity and Valorstones need to be removed from the game entirely.

My two active dual-gatherers are still without their last blue prof tools because of the acuity shortage. I just do the two weekies that give acuity and gather while I’m on them and guess I’ll get them by the end of the xpac. I’m not caving to this stupid acuity system, they can use prof greens.

No shot that you’ve got all the catch up stuff done and are still short all your blue prof tools. Both my gatherers have full set of tools, and my main gatherer also has the cooking and fishing blues as well.

For the sake of my curiosity what catch up stuff are you referring too. I wasn’t aware of any “catch-ups” for professions.

Patron order give knowledge points that gives acuity. Gathering professions if you’ve missed week, after you’ve gained your weekly knowledge, you can keep gathering and gain more knowledge and acuity.

There’s a very handy weak aura I’ve been using that shows where I have knowledge left to gain.
