After the recent comments from Blizz, i actually don’t think so, they seem to be of the opinion that the Spectral Tiger (and possibly a couple of other mounts, not sure on the wording used) are a cut above the rest and won’t be handed out for free like confetti. I know this will rub a lot of people the wrong way, but it would be nice if they left a couple of the TCG mounts/pets alone.
I have always advocated for the return of these mounts (and others), but i wanted them to come back in a way that is meaningful, a way for people to actually earn them through in game means, and not just be ruined with stupid Twitch drops.

Contrary to the narrative a lot of you types of been trying to push, the vast majority of TCG mount owners saved up and purchased them in game, so in that regard, they’re no less “earned” than the 5 million gold AH mount. I get that you’re happy that you get a bunch of very expensive/coveted mounts for doing nothing, but you don’t need to attack the people that already have them in order to feel better about it.

I have many years spent in the mount collecting community (this site, other websites and various in game communities).
Funnily enough, the people that purchased TCG mounts for real cash back in the day, usually did so as a legal means of purchasing gold, they’d buy a card, pop the mount on the AH for 100k or whatever than that was their gold needs taken care of for X amount of months, i know because i dealt in TCG items for many years and i had a bunch of different people that would sell to me directly.
I have every singe TCG mount and i purchased them all in game with in game earned gold, it took me many years. As i said earlier, i get that you’re happy about getting them for doing nothing, but you don’t need to try and minimize the efforts of others to feel better about it or justify it.

I already haz the rooster mount, but… I just want to see more in game. That mount is funny as heckin heck. idc how they do it. Just need MOAR chickunz.

I’ve actually looked all around and I think the only way I’d get one is buying the card and I don’t really want to do that. I have the gold in game it would’ve been nice to have bought it with that you know? As a thing to remember the time I hit gold cap. But meh. I guess it’s fine. Maybe blizzard will release another long boi style mount haha
Safe to say that any mount/toy that was part of TCG is going to be a twitch drop. Has there been any twitch drops that aren’t from TCG? Chicken gonna end up there at some point.

Ion said during an interview that certain mounts from the TCG would not be returning. The example he gave was the swift spectral tiger, but he indicated there were multiple which would probably include the other tiger and the rooster given their status above the other TCG stuff.
The rooster really is the silliest lamest thing that I still for some reason want. It’s old, it’s bad, it’s not really something I could see using over the long term. But it’s a chicken. Not a blood elf chicken but an actual chicken. This game needs more chicken.
