Blizz has this already. Other companies like Steam/Valve also have this. It’s mostly used to combat reselling of cheaper pricing model games in different regions with higher pricing models, but Blizzard was using the same system to identify user payment regions so people couldn’t pay in Argentinian currency while not having a bank/payment method in Argentina. It’s really just a matter of how motivated Blizzard is to setup different servers rather than lazily toss everyone into megaservers.
