Wtb community

I started playing when wotlk came out and was in a guild doing raids every weekend. I had to take a break, and when I came back all my guildies were gone. Same ole song and dance…
Anyway, since being back a few months before BFA launched. I started getting back into playing regularly. It’s been tough to meet anyone since returning and have never posted on here before. I am up to date on my classes and I usually just do random pvp ques, I’ve done a few mythic plus. But don’t have fun doing that. I would like to start over on an alliance pvp guild orientated server. I know the servers don’t matter because of sharding now. I’ve played on area 52 since I started. Can anyone help at all? Thank you.

logout and wait for classic. there will never be a community in retail

That’s the golden child everyone seems to be waiting for, and the same old reply I get everytime I say anything. It’s the mentality of people playing, like everyone is jaded or just mad or just trying to get a reaction out of people anymore, and am trying to do all I can to keep an interest in the game. But it’s the mentality of a large portion of players that only seem interested in “memeing” everything that seems to kill it for me anymore.

I really don’t know much about your server. Have you tried posting this in the server forum in the hopes someone could help there? You may want to look over the server forums, just for general information to see if there is a strong alliance side pvp action anywhere. Good luck OP <3

Thank you very much for your reply, I am lost on here and don’t really know where to post or to look at. I’ve looked up sites for status of realms and was just trying to find some more info, thanks again!

Im highly skeptical classic will somehow make people better than in retail. Its not a time machine, i wont hold my breath that classic will have any nicer or welcoming people. Maybe the ability to have community will be higher but i have my doubts about people suddenly becoming better people.

there are some real A-holes in this game. I don’t think classic will fix that, however, it will allow us to get to know the people that aren’t.

Best bet to find community on live is to join a guild or a community. Faster and easiest way to get the community feel back.

I joined my guild for raiding and my overall game experience improved immensely.

Here are some links which might help you connect with others. Hope they help.

This is the forum for your server.

This is the guild recruitment forum.

This is the forum where you can find a “community” to join. It’s a new feature they added in this expansion for people to connect cross realm. I haven’t dabbled in it at all, but it might be up your alley.

In fact, here’s a thread from roughly an hour ago made by someone in the same boat as you. Already had 5 replies and an invite to a community…

Awesome dude, this really helps me out. Thank you

How are you unable to get to know people that aren’t now?

Fine, it will make it easier to get to know people on your server.

Sure. Smaller servers with no CRZ will make it easier.

But pretending you can’t have a community now just sorta irks me. To me, it seems like people want a community to come to them. Rather than do anything to actually help foster one.

Thanks I’m sure everyone on wow would put in the extra work to bring about server community.

I agree with that, and that is what I am trying to figure out where to start at. Everything I’ve seen has had a discord link, and I’m not too sure how to use it. I’ve explored it a little here and there. I used to use ventrilo when raiding, but lost interest sitting in voice chat rooms and just started solo pvping.

This. Folks need to start taking initiative and work towards making the community better if they want a better community. It doesn’t happen at a snap of the finger.

You’d have better luck posting in the Guild Recruitment forum.
