If you arenât intended to get there and it provides some sort of advantage, it seems like it meets the definition of an exploit.
Horde can wall jump from multiple spots.
Both can do it, and its not okay for either. Doing something unintended for personal gain is exactly Blizzards definition of an exploit.
âBut Horde can do it!â isnât really an answer, and is completely irrelevant when it comes to exploits. So what? Fix em all.
I didnât say âbut horde can do itâ. I mention that the horde can do it as well and yeah, fix it for both sides but it was the same back in vanilla and it wasnât fixed then it wont be fixed now.
AFAIK the only illegal jumps are the ones that get you out-of-bounds, ie. on top of either base, onto the timber saw, into the water wheel and possibly on top of the large stump on the west side of the map between the H zerk and A resto huts. first 3 are definitely OOB, the stump iâm not 100% certain but i wouldnât push my luck with it.
tunnel entrance jumps, fence jumps, alliance gy to TOT jump and horde east wall to gy jump are the most common out of all of them and are a âgray areaâ in terms of terrain exploitation that i have yet to see specifically defined as legal or illegal AFAIK.
the old horde pre-game tunnel fence jump was once fixed by simply teleporting you back to the starting area, and i donât actually think you can physically do it in game anymore regardless.
Someone on reddit just got a message from a GM saying GY jumps, tunnel jumps, even âthe walkway above tunnelâ are all exploits. We need clarification because many of these jumps are what the best players will use in competitive premades matches. Similar to Halo 3 pro jumps or Halo 2 bxr, it creates a skill gap which competitors crave for.
It would be nice for some clarification on the forums, rather than taking someoneâs word for it on reddit.
