WSG Premades are Toxic and need to be Addressed

ATTENTION: This post aims to suggest WSG premade groups should be limited to 5 players maximum like AV.

I’m tired of joining games where 10 high ranking players from a single server have SCOUTED specifically for a pug to stomp, and found one.

It’s become so broken that the pug group generally doesn’t even fight back, they just hide or die and reject the spirit healer resurrection, waiting for the game to end.

REAL WSG GAMES where both teams are legitimately fighting for the objective are THE EXCEPTION and not THE RULE.

PREMADES ARE CLEARLY PROBLEMATIC. PLEASE TAKE ACTION, BLIZZARD.

THEY ARE ABUSIVE TO PUG GROUP PLAYERS AND HAVE RUINED CLASSIC WOW PVP.

Agree 100%, the Premade queue dodgers are once again ruining the spirit of the game in PvP.

AV is the pug BG

WSG is for team play, made better with a coordinated team.

If you’re gonna pug I’d advise sticking to AV. If you want to do WSG, find a team.

Right, since premades are fighting premades in classic WSG.

You living under a rock, bro?

Start your own WSG premade.

The pros call it “gitting gud”.

You speak with some kind of arrogance and final authority that in reality you do not have.

My team takes every queue pop. We get dodged, but we also get premades that just jump in and fight.

At least if you get my premade as a pug, we rush flag caps to make it a 7-8min game instead of prolonging your suffering.

Uhh… You’ve always been able to queue 10 for WSG, and until recently could only queue solo for AV. It’s pretty clear which BG is meant for what purpose.

I’m not saying you cant pug it, but if you do try towards the end of the week when the sweaty teams are capped. You’ll still get a bunch of premades though, cause that’s what wins WSG and that’s how all the smarter honor grinders are getting their rank now.

Retail has 5 man premade. You should go play retail.

Can someone please tell me how these premade teams scout for a pug?

A single player is sent in prior to the rest of the group to scout the enemy team.

If it’s a premade, the rest of the group declines the queue and either replaces the lost member or pugs the 10th.

It’s quite simple.

Horde are a lot less likely to do it due to queue times, but what happens is…

Lower rank ‘scout’ for the premade joins game, checks enemy roster to see if it’s a premade or pug. If it’s a pug, everyone else joins, if it’s a premade, everyone not in the game drops queue, grabs a standby scout, and queues again.

Despicable behavior imo. Should be broken.

I don’t know if you’re intentionally being obtuse or not, but the issue is not that people can queue as a group in WSG, it’s that those particular premade groups are circumventing the normal queue process by selectively choosing which teams they face. In short, they are searching for a pug. You know this. Everyone knows this.

No,what the OP proposed was breaking 10 man teams. What you seemed to have tacked on is the queue dodging issue, which is an issue that I agree should be addressed.

the “MM” in MMO doesn’t stand for “Moderately Multiplayer”

Premades are fine, there just needs to be two queue, one for premades and one for solo queues. Queue dodging should not be an issue, everyone in the group should either accept or decline the queue before being sent in the game… its simple as that.

So this requires extra accounts at 60, or friends who are willing to get the deserter debuff, and could require many attempts (and thus many characters to get the debuff). And is predominantly done by alliance because if everyone on horde drops queue, they have to wait 20 minutes to try again?

Sounds like horde wouldn’t even do this because you can finish a wsg by the time a queue would pop.

So this is yet again another alliance premade thing that horde are complaining about? Meanwhile horde win 99% of avs?

I agree queue dodging is a problem, but only if you agree that a premade vs pug team is a problem.

The OP proposed that as a solution to ADDRESS THE PREMADE QUEUE DODGING SITUATION.

I mean, horde would do it if they didnt have queue times. Some still do I think (though they’re only hurting themselves).

Also, yes, the top ranking teams are able to find people willing to be scouts for the chance at running with those teams while they run over a pug.

Also, Horde are by no means the only ones complaining, because when a premade ditches a queue, most of the time the spots are filled by pug Alliance, who are now facing a horde premade.

Queue dodging is toxic, it’s not going to hurt many peoples feelings breaking it.

Pretty awful solution

Horde absolutely do it. So many games start with 9 people from the same server. Aren’t WSG queues for horde like 20min? So, someone getting a deserter debuff might only lose out on one game.

What needs to happen is premades only play other premades. Pugs against pugs. Not sure blizzard wants to spend the money to create such a system now after 15 years of their broken one.

I said some might. Queues are 10-15 mins. But realize dodging means another 10-15 minute wait for the whole team. Its not efficent.

Theres ways to break scouting without segregating queues.
