WSG Premade debate

I agree that the cat is already out of the bag and it’s probably too late. But it’s important to me that I continue to spam this on the forums so that hopefully they will see how flawed this decision was and take it into account in the future.

I would say wsg would still have the same volume of players and premades even if he tweeted that the bracers won’t be in phase 2.

Everyone wants to get the rep out of the way because no one will be playing wsg in phase 2 since everyone will be doing AB. And then when AV comes out, every single pug will be doing that.

So right now is the premiere time to rep wsg if you plan on ever doing it at all. This is because there are pug groups available to steamroll that are playing right now who will not be playing when AV comes out.

Even as a pug it’s better to play right now than any other time. Because you have a higher chance of running into another pug for a fair fight. At the end of this phase, such a chance will be non-existent. The only people queuing wsg after phase 1 will be insane premades.

wsg will still see plenty of gameplay next phase. I don’t know if you’re aware of this but AB exalted takes about 30 seconds (yes im exaggerating but it’s INCREDIBLY fast) and AB has no level 40 exalted rewards.

ALSO - wsg is better honor/hr during the bonus week.

WSG is better honor/hr if you’re not constantly thrown against premades as a solo queuer.

this is also true, solo q AB is much slower honor typically.

Right but all you’re saying is wsg will be situationally good every 3 weekends. It’s much more ideal to do it right now and get it out of the way. So the volume of players would still be about the same with or without the bracers in phase 2.

It’s very likely they will look obsolete by phase three anyway.

My entire issue is that pvp offers better rewards than pve for some classes. When on a pve server, it shouldnt even be an option. Also, pvp servers and pve servers should not be competing with one another.

most reasonable players would elect to casually grind out the rep over a long period of time if there were not immenent rewards at lvl 40. when there’s no reward for another 3 phases, there’s no reason to spend 6 -10 hours a day in premades. especially when you know you’ll be doing that BG more ANYWAY to get your honor as you rank up.

Just add two different queues, one solo and one for grouped players.

I bet the premaders will keep grouping and enjoying the main reason why they group up and have comms: The competitive scenario, ROFL!

One of the best things of vanilla were bg’s, where you could casually queue at any time and having fun, while making your way for an higher rank and eventually end game gear.

Premades always were about increasing honor per hour and never about fun, or competitive interests, that’s just cheap talk to keep this trashy meta going, promoted by people that dedicate their entire time to play and which have well consolidated friend lists with the same conditions. The thing is, those are probably about 0,5% of the total player base.

I remember back in vanilla, premades having a scout joining the bg, in first place, to dodge facing eventual premades. It always was about honor per hour.

Just make a solo and a group queue and this debate will fade away in a matter of days… like premades…

Yes it was and is. And I have no problem with people doing what’s most efficient. It just means that the game designers need to keep that in mind. They need to understand that their design results in the meta that most people will play.

So they need to make a meta that is enjoyed by most players. People don’t want to play how they don’t like playing. Trying to force it only chases people away from the game.

I would bet a paycheck that pugging is the most enjoyed way of engaging in BGs, thus it should be the most efficient meta.

Why hurt the real players is the real question you should be asking. Not giving something for participating is one of the root causes for pre-mades running rampant. Their is a middle ground.

It could just be a difference of perspective or opinion. I guess it’s up to the devs to decide.

WSG has always been the least popular BG for this very reason. In AB, even if you’re out matched you can at least usually hold one or two nodes and progress. AV, you usually always make some progression as well. WSG has always been the outlier. Definitely would be a positive change if it fell in line with the other two BGs in such a manner.
