shouldn’t we be able to get gear for our lower level friends? or if I want to farm soul shards for my summoner in stocks shouldn’t I be able to use my main account to help? this is ridiculous

For all the haters calling me a troll, I have decided to entertain you with timestamps of my email traffic with Blizzard. Dudes didn’t even give me the benefit of the doubt, just instantly assumed I HAD to have done something wrong. This is my first interaction with the forums, will probably be my last, some of you guys are insufferable XD

You should absolutley be able to and are able to do those things.
Based on what I have seen, I think the area a lot run afoul are the boosting for gold from actual RMT businesses. Who then take the gold and resell it back to cheaters. Stuff like that.
It can be hard to tell, I think, how legit a ‘booster’ is when just taking any old boost. I can tell ya there were a huge number of bad booster services that were run in Dragon Flight in a certain region of the Azure Span. I think some players got caught up in it too. I’ll just say that one gets a feel for who what is legit and what is probably not legit at all.
Best to be careful.
But friends helping friends is legit cool.

if you buy a boost from someone who is breaching the ToS, you also get nabbed.
I got a 6 month ban during 2019 Classic for the same reason after reaching Rank 13. No explanation.
“The community has provided evidence that you cheated / exploited.”
I asked, “What evidence? What am I being punished for?”
No response
I played with my brother for my entire playtime. He did not get suspended.
The truth is if you receive mass reporting you will get 6 month banned with no chance at appeal. It is all automatic. Blizzard assumes you will come crawling back 6 months later. They had the nerve to send email advertisements while I was banned.
I likely received mass reports from honor cap drama. My competition had their entire guilds submit mass report. I had BRE and was a lightning rod for this. My priest partner (also rank 13) avoided it entirely. He finished the R14 grind without me, unscathed.
Sadly the best you can do is join the broken system. Report everyone for anything. Even if they are not breaking any rules. Lie and say cheating / hacking / exploiting. Ask your entire guild to submit similar reports on the same player.
This has been abused for years but Blizzard refuses change. You might as well turn up the heat.
If you had a flyhacking booster in your group you got collateral’d.

I definitely do not have the time or energy to do all that haha especially after the interactions here. I have seen other people experience similar situations with the mass report. I think asmon proved that theory when he asked everyone to report him and he inevitably got banned, while doing nothing wrong. What a time to be alive.
