Wrong support link

Anyway, had a small issue recovering an item I had accidentally disenchanted (stupid hot keys LOL)

I have been playing on Bleeding Hollow (NA server) since November 2004, I have never played on another continents server (such as China or EU) so I only have the one account.

I was on active duty in the military, stationed in Japan, Korea, Turkey and Germany. I currently live in Greece, but play on Bleeding Hollow which is an East Coast server (sure the 200ms response times can be a hassle when raiding occasionally)

When I went to recover my disenchanted item it took me to my account page, no problems…but when I click on the support link on the main account page it brings me to eu.battlenet instead of the NA battlenet page and it says I have no characters, which of course I don’t have characters on the EU servers, I don’t have an account there.

Same thing happens if I use my main account page to access Blizzard forums, it says I have no characters eligible for the forums because again, it takes me to the eu.battlenet forums instead of the forums for the account I linked from which is on NA servers.

So not sure if this is a bug or working as intended, why would the links in my account take me to the local battlenet server instead of the battlenet server for the account I am playing on? What use is linking me to eu.battlenet from my NA account? it just causes problems and makes no sense.

Why would anyone want this? It is different if I am doing a google search and it brings me to the eu.battlenet site instead of the NA site because that is just how their algorithims works, bringing you local content instead of something in a different country.

I shouldn’t have to manually go the the NA battlenet site when i am linking directly from within my account page, it seems like an easy thing to fix the links where what server your account is on directs the link for support, not the IP address of where you are accessing support from.

I kept wondering what the problem was until I happened to look at the address on the bar when I went to the support page and noticed the EU in front of the address, otherwise who knows if this would have ever been fixed because I was talking to EU reps who couldn’t figure it out, when I really needed to be talking to NA reps.
