Wrogen Tails Where they at?

My druid goes back to wc3! I edited some taurens to have druid spells but that’s not saying much since I did alot of things with map edit.

Funny how people believe lies. I want them gone or to a lesser extent the forced in druid aspects removed.
But deep, deep down…GAUD I wish I could find the courage to roll a worgen. If only I could just reroll ALL of my chars to worgen. If only they were released as a horde race. What I wouldn’t do for this Blizzard…why…WHY!?

Mixed signals here buddy.

And is lore breaking as Tauren had no druids back then. I understand your love for druids I’ve always played one in wow and in D&D but I have never once hated a race and said they shouldn’t be given options. The more customization a race has the more likely people are to play it.

Anyways: here is christie on twitter saying she cannot comment on anything lore specific. She is not on the wow team, and she works on story writing and franchise development.

They give her the worldbuilding lore and she tries to work within its parameters.

Literally two people in that quote on a Canon lore book said Worgen don’t have tails. I specifically linked you to her entire history of working with Blizzard. The book is canon. What’s said by her about the canon book itself and also by the other person who works for Blizzard is canon lore.

Geebus you people will ignore everything.

If we can retcon 10,000 years of night elf society to have female druids and male warriors/priests blessed by Elune, we can pin the tail on the worgen. If we can go back and say some tauren were actually druids and not shamans, we can pin a tail on the worgen.

Both you and Chespin are beneficiaries of amendments in Warcraft lore. If you don’t start with an acknowledgement there, and how flexible lore has been in the past to accommodate players within the game, you aren’t coming from an honest position on why it should not apply here.

This is pretty damning when it comes to saying she is the lore girl. But I’m not even going to argue if tails are lore or not. I don’t think it is relevant because it isn’t significant enough not to change, even if it was made totally explicit by everyone who touches the lore.

If this is your reason fine. State it from the start. Don’t rely on some flimsy lore argument and make someone drag the real reason out of you. Making people chase their tails (pun intended) like that isn’t particularly forthcoming of you.

Nothing was retconned. New lore was added.

There’s a huge difference.

For the love of god…

I can have multiple reasons. It was stated. And both are reasons. Nothing is flimsy.

Christie changed it when Copeland told her to change it. Says so right there in the Tweet that his hand is in this.

And who is Copeland?

Sean Copeland , also known as Loreology , is the Historian Supervisor of Blizzard’s Creative Development team. Sean was promoted to senior historian around March 11, 2014. He was later promoted to lead historian in March 2016, and became Head of Lore in September 2017.[1]

And what is Before the Storm? A canon lore novel.

And what did the Tweet say?

Sharp eyes have caught a slipup in Before the Storm–unlike Genn, I’m only human. I mistakenly pinned a tail on the worgen. @Llorewalker caught it & we thought we’d docked all the tails, but missed one, so there is a vestigial tail in the book. So no, worgen don’t have tails.

There’s nothing more to be said. And with that, I’m muting this.

We weren’t disagreeing on that. We were disagreeing that Cristie wrote lore, which she doesn’t, and you were wrong about. You were wrong about something then doubled down agressively.

Adressing your other point, worgen having tails would not even be a retcon (alpha female worgen models had tails). Nothing in lore states they have to be tailless or there’s a reason they don’t have a tail. And if if were a retcon, it would not be game breaking.

Most worgen players want tails.

I could make a hole for your tail no problem (flip knife) and give you helpful tips on tail care.

She does she wrote books and books are lore

Your acting obtuse

You poll entire game population?

Writing a script for story beats that a team gives you is not the same as having unlimited freedom to worldbuild or decide the fate of said characters.

It’s not obtuse to tell the truth about the process for how these companies work. This is just reality.

From vicious looking werewolves to pixar looking furrsonas and now y’all want to add tails. The downfall of Worgen by the furry devs at Blizzard is so depressing.

No one said this the saying was

She writes lore she writes books they are lore that is lore writer

Sean Copeland worked on the book and is the other who said Worgen no tails and he was head of lore at Blizzard he actually worked there

Your acting obtuse

And you asking now is not four years ago and pointless and the other Twitter was said with Copeland so just stop

Her job is literally not related to lore. She said so with the words she typed out.

Nerai, pls.

Her words now were not four years ago and SHE WRITES BOOKS and Copeland said so with her your still acting obtuse just stop

Golden does not own the ip, she does not get to make decisions about world building, and she does not get to make major decisions about plot.

She writes scripts for storyboard cinematics, and she writes dialogue and descriptions.

She sometimes gets to write short stories about existing characters that the wow team have to approve. She introduced the concept of azeroth’s 2 moons, which is the closest thing to lore contributions she’s made.

Her job is storytelling (with properties she does not own) and franchise building for the time being.

She made no decision Copeland did and its right there and your ignoring it and acting obtuse are you just trolling?

She writes books and they are official lore and Copeland edited to take out tails because they don’t have tails and hes in charge of lore

Your still acting obtuse and no one was wrong to say she writes books and they are lore and she wrote lore and that was four years ago and you need to read her history and that Copeland did this editing on purpose and she was told by him

This is so stupid I cant believe anyone act like you so stubborn and not looking at fact your ignored

Getting mad about a thing I never said is what happens to people who put words into other people’s mouths. It’s not my fault they weren’t paying attention, lol.

yes

literally no, that’s not what “lore” means to this company

Nobody is disagreeing with this.

Nerai, pls.

What people would like is for worgen to have tails because more character customization is good, and alpha worgen had them. The model looks incomplete to some. So a tail option would be beneficial, and hurt nobody. :ok_hand:

LITERALLY YES

Everything released by Blizzard except mods and the table-top RPG is considered canon.[1] This includes games, novels, short stories, manga, and comics[1][2] as well as trailers and cinematics.

Your wrong your ignored now stop lying
