Wrecking Throw and Shattering Throw in PvP

With an intended adjustment made during maintenance today,

Player versus Player

Warrior

  • Wrecking Throw’s damage increase to shields is now 75% less effective in PvP combat (was 30% less effective).
  • Shattering Throw’s damage increase to shields is now 75% less effective in PvP combat (was 30%).

We’ll have these and all other changes listed in today’s hotfixes update.

How about some adjustments to Fury for Mythic+

welp there it is, another non AWC and non mythic tournament class getting nerfed, others simply forgotten (demo, Enh Shaman, DK) and awc classes buffed. Must be nice to be one of only 5 specs that get their bugs fixed while all the other non tournament classes continue, for 6 seasons since Dragon Flight, to be kicked while down. Another brilliant move by those who get kick backs from tournaments.

This. Nothing else matters more for Warrior right now.

Slayer fury still needs to be closer to Thane in M+, and fury in general needs a significant buff in M+. I use Slayer for all content.

Please make interrupting and using Storm Bolt while channeling Bladestorm baseline. I’d try Thane with Bladestorm if that change was made just to see if I like it. Whichever hero tree I use, Bladestorm is a requirement. I love Bladestorm. My main is a fury warrior.

Just remove the skill from the game now fam, why would you nerf the ability so absurdly like this?

Because there have been at least two very whiny priests complaining about a superior class.

Lmao, this even being posted in the class forums is hilarious.

God forbid shield healers have a counter.

Thank you. Warlocks and Priests were to easy to kill.

The disrespect is so good.

But nah, it was one shotting Cocoon, even after the first nerf. Wrecking Throw was absolutely overtuned.

Wrecking Throw is still going to chunk shields for a lot of their health, along with Arms having literally every single ability hitting for over 1m.

Not rly

Says the mage.

Oh noes, we actually counter something?! Warrior use to be the healer’s nightmare with Mortal Strikes, but that’s not even our niche anymore.

Yeah I feel like if this bug fix hadn’t come when warrior was already performing super well, it would have been a lot more reasonable. But it was just not the time for them to make this change.

Like nuking a cocoon is about on par with slapping a ring of peace in the middle of earthen wall totem or power word barrier, or countering Emerald Communion with Cyclone / Imprison. And unlike most of these examples, we actually gave up other talents to take it.

A little disingenous calling this a “bug fix” when it’s nothing but a knee jerk nerf to a unique utility as a shield killing option with a moderate cooldown of 45s.

The problem with it was the pvp talent demolition which made it a 23s cd while also making it even more effective so it was up more often than not. These required both a different talent pathing missing out on other utility and dropping a pvp talent to lean harder into a niche which seems like a fair tradeoff on paper with how much you’re giving up in the process.

This is a massive problem with their lack of critical thinking when making pvp talents without thought of the knock on effects, but then slap nerfs on the baseline and never on the pvp talents themsleves.

You misunderstand and possibly didn’t even read my post?
The bug fix was them increasing the base damage of the ability because apparently it had not been increased since early DF.

Huh, wasn’t entirely aware it was even bugged to begin with.
It’s worked perfectly fine in pve since forever. Since it’s always had use cases in absorb phases.
